Yeah I guess creepy not the right word, maybe turn off is better, I seem to do it a lot without realising, I did it just before, and the response made me wonder if they thought I was doing it in a fishing for complement kind of way, which wasnt my intention, kinda a :rolleyes: moment :P

Snap, I posted before seeing this.

I also think if it's in 'new company' it can just highlight your flaws, or make people appreciate that you're aware of 'a, b and c'.
 
Nah, I think it's fine :) and depending on what's said it can either be taken as a funny thing or can either be seen as kinda cute?...in a way. I'm sure they didn't think anything bad of it. :)

Haha yes! Thats what I think they thought, wasnt my intention, never thought of it until now, I just get really self conscious when given a compliment, so I revert to humour, but I think thats what they thought! which made it even more awkward!

:) doesnt worry me in that situation because it was a girl, but I was thinking gee I do that a lot I hope people dont think like MistressBliss said that its a passive aggressive ego boost thing!
