Layla was a gracious runner up

She's just a big-built half-Maori woman whose eyes can be explained by too much Haka.
 
loved her accent, didnt like the dress, was glad she in in the last two, and why should she kiss Stella if she didnt want to.that would be hipocritical(sp)if she didnt want to she doesnt have to. I liked her.

hypocritical = Layla. She saw Michael evicted for being friends with Estelle! She immediately turned to Ben (her biggest enemy the week before when they weren't talking) and jumped on that bandwagon to join in the b!tching about Estelle. She played the game well, but lost anyway. Her 'dumb' act was offensive to me ... as a female. She wasn't dumb, but played that part for all it was worth. She was smart enough to figure out this "game". Kuddos, but she came up short.
 
Ben gave Estelle a kiss and a hug which at least showed a semblance of good manners and grace....then he went and chucked her toy horse over the fence. Meh, some people, whatcha gonna do?
 
I thought she was incredibly gracious in defeat, and I think the reason she didn't jump up and kiss/hug Estelle, is because she was shocked that Estelle was going... I think they (Layla and Ben) were both convinced she would win.

Then if you noticed just before Sonia announced Ben as the winner, Layla was mouthing Benjamen, she didn't even think she would win. I think she held herself incredibly well when she was on stage apart from the swearing!), and this is the reason I am upset she got jibbed with her "time in the house" packages, they were already running late with 3rd place but Estelle still got the same as most evictees packages, but Layla, only got the Australia, KFC and the final package. The only other part I wish we had been able to see is her reunion with the other ex HMs once they'd wrapped up everything with Layla and were getting ready to bring Ben to the stage.

I am convinced that there are parts we didn't get to see or something because none of the final 3 seemed all that surprised or excited when seeing or interacting with the ex HMs.
 
I believe this has been discussed on here before. As far as I can remember the medication she takes can result in weight gain/retention, it seems lots of people gain weight when being treated for the disease which is confirmed by a quick google.

Appears that the condition itself doesn't cause weight gain, however the medication to control it often does.

Where is this directed Christina? Haha. Most members already knows this as it was discussed a few months ago.

Maybe me? IF most members "know" this disease and the medications maybe you could share? I've read every post here, when I was a lurker and did a "search". Nothing comes up. TIA.

Sorry Texas, I'm no expert on this condition . Was just responding to others' posts in this particular thread.
I thought it may be an underactive thyroid leading to weight gain and fluid retention but apparently not.

Sorry Texas, I'm no expert on this condition . Was just responding to others' posts in this particular thread.
I thought it may be an underactive thyroid leading to weight gain and fluid retention but apparently it's not this .

maybe she disliked Stella more than she didnt like Ben , and she did OK car and cash

Agreed, She's such a sweet natured girl. I still wish she'd won tho, but at least she's got a car a $10,000.
