'He's everything Australia needs right now'.
I thought it was very generous of Michael to say that about Ben. Ben has been honest from Day 1. He gets my votes.
I noticed Michael had no parting words for Estelle, it was all about Ben.

Dumped Estelle like a hot potato. So glad he's gone.

Mmmmm, from what some of the evicted housemates have hinted at, Estelle and her multiple personalities must be very, very hard to live with. I suppose we will never know how bad since BB heavily edits what we see. Also, all the housemates that want Ben to win must be basing this on what went on in the house so he must have something good going for him. Again the heavy editing by BB means we on the outside probably have a completely different idea of what went on in the house compared to real life in there. Remember we only ever get to see what the production team chooses to show us. It is probably completely skewed.

Yeah but when you looked at what they said, it was all about Estelle not understanding her place in the hierarchy, not understanding social cues. From what I can gather is, she basically never accepted a position as being an unwanted outsider to the main group. When they talk about meepers like Estelle. It's all about people who don't know they aren't wanted to join in. The whole social cues was that she would interject in a conversation or go over to people when they didn't want her.

People in the house formed self important groups and declared themselves in charge, it was there house and people like Estelle and others were not welcome. Were not accepted as being part of the house. Early on Estelle paired with Ryan which means she didn't get in right away on being accepted. So then was left hanging and there was no room for any acceptance. She was just expected to go and she didn't which rapidly made her even more unaccepted. Especially when Sarah went who was accepted. It was seen as Estelle did something wrong by staying. it was Sarah's house to be in, not Estelle's.

The multiple personalities is completely down to they can't figure it out. It's not about her acting crazy or differently. It was all about, she likes rap music, but also likes horses? Two personalities! They phrased it as multiple personalities, but it was just lots of seemingly conflicted interests.

Ben was good at playing the game. It's not a trick of the editing. It's that he presents one way to someones face, pretending he cares. Yet behind their back he will slag them off. He's just a classic manipulator. Remember the guys a pathological liar who will live his life as fictional people. The fact people in the house didn't always see through it doesn't mean he's really a good person. It just means he's good at manipulating people. When he had his big sook about nominations, all he could say is that he thought him being nice one on one made up for his bad side.

What does his statement even mean? I don't get it. Flowery words, yes, but where is the substance? Is Ben running for political office?

Michael wants ben to win because he's gay. From the live char.

"I think Ben has a role to play in Australia's open-minded future regarding same sex couples starting families. If financial stability is what he needs to do that, then I believe he deserves the prize more than anyone else."

As usual very astute UAN and I mostly agree with you.

People are very complex though. Perhaps Ben really does want to be a good person but finds it difficult. Perhaps he thinks that as long as he has said something to a person's face it's ok to bitch about it behind their backs, although he is far more cutting behind their backs and genuinely cruel on occasion. Perhaps Brenda is also a way of compartmentalising his nastiness in order to keep it/her in a box.

The house is a pressure cooker with no release valve so it's remarkable really that they've managed so well. I think your analysis of the group forming is spot on and I hated the way that they excluded Estelle and Ava. So cruel. At least I think Michael has genuinely seen that it was beyond the pale. He may have experienced real growth in there. Or maybe I'm an optimist. It looks like Australia may punish Ben for his bitchiness but he has a huge following so it remains to be seen.

Estelle has her flaws but at least she is not very backstabbing, nasty and judgemental. I think in the face of all that hate she has been amazingly even and collected. I would have been a puddle on the floor. I'm voting for strength, kindness and honesty.

You guys are bloody idiots... You clearly have no idea about mental health issues whatsoever. Compulsive lying is a problem, and it's a problem that can be overcome. To say you can never trust them is STUPID. Like... Layla stupid...

The fact that he has said it, and admitted to it is generally a good indicator that it's a past problem. If someone has depression, they can get through it, and come out on the other side. They aren't forever depressed. People who beat cancer don't forever have cancer. Alcoholics aren't forever addicted to the drink. Smokers quit smoking. Liars quit lying.

You don't understand that people lie for a reason, and if that problem in their life goes away or resolves itself, the lying can stop. Ben lied, probably for many reasons. But he's obviously found security within himself now to not feel the need to lie or exaggerate stories anymore. I'm sure he has enough interesting stories of his own to tell that he doesn't need to lie about it.

Grow the hell up, people.

He said he stopped being a compulsive liar right before he went in the house... why would you believe him to be telling the truth? Especially as in the same breath he was saying how he can tell stories which are entirely made up that people believe to be real.

You can't trust someone like that in this kind of situation. Maybe if you know them over time and see who the real person is and if they have changed.

To use an alcoholic analogy. That's like saying, "i used to be an alcoholic but I quit yesterday."

Are you on drugs. Benjamin honest hahahahahahhaaahh you are kidding right

I think Michael has a future as a political spin doctor. This statement reeks of that. I believe that noone deserves to either win or lose based on sexual orientation.
