Classic love story unfolds - Estelle and Michael

Interesting that Josh has said to lil sister that he isn’t sure if Michael is completely genuine in his feelings for Estelle. Saying there was some kind of physical attraction but nothing major. And that she may be filling some kind of void for him and maybe he’s decided to let go of his hatred and just enjoy his last week.

Also considers the possibility that Michael might be aligning himself with Estelle for strategy reasons now that's it's closer to the finish.
 
I might be less cynical or repulsed if Ben went for Zoe...............after all he's starved for sex and cuddles, and she's the most manly thing in there:)
 
Layla: what an appropriate name, considering all she ever does is lie around on the bed/sofa/pod, picking at her nails, pimples, eyes etc.
Having a fake 'bf' in the house facilitates this. She's the laziest cow, only gets up for food and challenges .. loping around with her pendulous bosoms dragging along the ground. And bitchy too - I seriously don't get why everyone thinks she's so great.
Sam being a fitness fanatic would never go for someone like her under normal circumstances.

Am actually enjoying M&E's totally fake romance. At least it's more interesting than Dumb and Dumber's ... and will hopefully provoke Hagrid a bit more!

Sorry but how have you missed Layla & Sam basically do most of the cleaning, lots of the cooking, breakfast a lot; and then she's connstantly helping the whole house with beauty treatments - these 2 are not lazy, and you have lost sight of reality.
 
They seem low energy because there's no dynamic with them. They're dead-air... but you're right they probably do most of the cleaning.

Perhaps you have lost sight of comprehension. I didn't say Sam was lazy; in fact he's probs the hardest worker. I said Layla was .. yes, she does get up to make food 'cause she gets to eat it.
 
On Michael's part, it's genuine attraction mixed with strategy. He believes Estelle is the most popular HM left on the show. Trying to get her out didn't work, it painted her as an underdog and made Australia root for her even more. Villainising her got him nowhere, and now time is running out. So now he's realised his best bet is to "make up" with Estelle so that all her fans can see he's remorseful for the way he treated her and that he really does like her now etc etc. He's hoping to convert Estelle fans to vote for him. The closer he gets to Estelle, and the more he can get her to say that she likes him and she's grateful for his friendship (and now kisses BLECH) the better it is for him (in his eyes). I think he's full of shit when he says he really likes her now. He told Ben he just "ignores" everything that annoys him about her. I'd put money on the fact he still finds her annoying as fuck, he's just FINALLY deciding to ignore it because he's realised it's in his best interests to do just that. Too bad Australia isn't buying what he's trying to sell. He thinks doing this will gain him fans, when if anything he's just thrown away his win.

On Estelle's part, it's genuine relief to be liked by her former #1 hater mixed with strategy. No other Estelle fan will agree with me on this because they all think she's this innocent girl with 100% noble intentions, but this girl knows she's benefited from a storyline that painted her as the underdog and the outsider, the lone wolf who dances to the beat of her own drum and doesn't let other people's negativity stop her from being herself. She knows Michael reaching out for her friendship gives that storyline the 'perfect' ending: she stays true to herself the whole way, and her biggest detractor finally comes around to appreciate her for who she is, moral of the story is be yourself no matter what and people will end up respecting and liking you for it. Up until she used her SP and heard him nom her, Estelle always respected Michael. I'm sure it makes her feel nice to know that the same guy who used to despise her and bitch about her is now singing her praises and talking about how much he admires her. I believe her when she says she is genuinely happy right now, and I believe that happiness is because of her new friendship with Michael and what that symbolises to her.
 
After last night's episode I'm really torn between thinking Michael could be genuine and thinking that he is an even more despicable person than Ben.

If he was making up what he said to her last night as part of an attempt to win the show, then he truly would be the worst housemate I can ever remember seeing on the show.

"Well that I've ever met, you know..."

What sort of person could lie to someone's face like that just to increase their chances of winning the equivalent of four years income? up all night, I think you should create another one of those checklists...

I should add that this possibility did cross my mind as well. It's possible that he isn't been 100 percent honest with himself, and that he's almost trying to subconsciously convince himself of his affection towards Estelle because he is aware of the strategic benefits. Maybe he's actually living the lie emotionally rather than in a completely detached and calculated way.
 
Also personal strategy to get over his ex. I buy into that bit. Would he really use his ex like that (re discussion with Ben), just for a storyline?
 
It could be that Michael was attracted to her from the start, but didn't think someone like Estelle would be attracted to him.

His may have hidden his feelings by saying the things he did. (A love/hate relationship, he loved her from afar, but didn't want to get hurt if he was rejected, so used the hate story)

Take notice of the date and all of that though. That was before his confession to Ben, Big Brother and then in bed with Estelle where they kissed.

Anyway I don't think there's really anything more to it. Looking at the updates nothing much is happening. They aren't a new couple as things are making out. I don't think there'll be any more kisses between them at all now.
 
I think Michael is the master planner.

This is a video clip back in Aug 25th, called Michael's claws come out on Estelle!

Not many people had a problem with Estelle until Michael started badmouthing her, slowly, slowly the HMs turned on her.
Now for Michael to turn around and do this with Estelle is causing me to be wary of him, even more than I already had been.
If it makes it easier for the two of them to get through the last few days that's fine, I hope that he isnt trying to drag her down.

Michael is the slimiest, most transparent hypocrite ever , after earlier bagging Estelle every chance he could get and expressing his contempt for her.
Estelle just comes across as a fool with no self respect for hooking up with him, despite knowing full well that he has previously been slagging her off relentlessly and nominating her every week.
 
He knows he comes across as a hypocrite , he said it himself , he knows it will look strategic. It's like he has been reading the forums on here because he exactly said out loud what all the conspiracy theorists keep going on about. The guy was wrong . Get over it you nobheads.

The only problem is Estelle has no idea of the extent of Michael's bagging. He apologised to her made it clear that he wasn't happy with himself and felt horrible that she was pushed out, knowing Estelle has a forgiving nature he used all his skills to make it right.
Estelle has no idea what has been going on behind her back, the only thing Estelle has seen is Michael nominating her once and he knows she has seen it and he is sorry. Mmmmm.... I'm not sure about that, he maybe sorry the viewers saw it .
My heart goes out to her, I hope that this new friendship does not cause her to lose votes or for Michael to gain votes.

Yer the update was 2 days ago.....so must have been pre kiss.....but who knows how much lil sis revealed to him prior to getting his opinions....

Not much happening with the updates as you said...the cynical side of me thinks that Michael is aware Friday and Saturday happenings has to be crammed into the eviction show....so no need to go overboard with his affections.
