Classic love story unfolds - Estelle and Michael

Remember the secrets show presented her with a false reality. Where she thought the negativity towards her was because she was "the strongest housemate." Or something. That show presented an entirely fictionalised view of what had been happening to her, one where she felt so much better about everything. She went to the diary room and said how such a weight was lifted and how close and loving every one was.

BB manipulated her for Michael. Michael even said that was the night everything changed.

Michael had figured out Estelle was liked because they were all mean. He had put mind to thinking about being nice to her to win. Which in turn lead to him actually giving her the time of the day and seeing she actually is alright. Stacey Left and he was all... FUCK ESTELLE WILL WIN. Ben gave him a pep talk that he can win if he doesn't give up. The secrets shows completely lined up everything for him and Estelle. It focused on everything Nice Michael said and basically ignored the horrid, disgusting, constantly flowing hatred from him about her. After she was all, "wow you said I was the strongest, thank you." He then seized on the opportunity.

Very interesting theory.

The producers are lapping this up, it gives them a good storyline. Very manipulative.

I think they we're just both starved for attention and now that the house has fewer people and Ben is getting on Michael's nerves (as well as others) with his Dr Ben persona that it just has evolved. Then again they both could be playing the other here as Estelle has said I may forgive, but I will not forget... Michael may be also be playing Zoe by letting herself sink in her own disgusting displays to eliminate another threat.

Personally, I can not see either one with the other after this finishes.
I kind of agree with this. I've never been one to blindly follow a favourite all the way through a series, defending everything they do and giving them my unwavering support. I'm a swing voter if you like (although I don't actually vote very often lol, twice over all the previous series)... anyway..

Initially I thought Michael had it in the bag. Then I went off him completely. Now, I'm still unimpressed with his past behaviour but I happen to *think* he is being genuine with Estelle. I think she has gradually won him over because he would show her some affection and then he would back right off thinking he'd created *something* with her. Estelle would happily just go on with her day, never overtly 'staking her claim' on him. Michael would then feel a bit reassured by her lack of 'stalkerishness' and he'd move back in for affection. Repeat the cycle a couple of times and eventually he started to genuinely warm to her.

His seeming 'reluctance' or 'awkwardness' is because he feels like a moron for how he behaved about her in the past, and he knows he will be judged harshly for his change of heart. He also is a little confused because Estelle is not his normal type and he's finding it hard to understand why she is making him so happy. He is enjoying the emotions of liking her as much (or more) as actually liking her - he's happy to know he can love again.

I think if the season wasn't about to end, this would develop into a steady, happy relationship for them both. Michael doesn't need clingy and Estelle doesn't do clingy, so it would work well.

However, I do believe it will be over the minute the show ends. I think the 'weird' things that Estelle does will not fit in Michael's world and while he can ignore them in the house (or tolerate might be a better word), I think he will find that difficult to do in front of his family and friends.

While we have seen a nasty side of Michael in the house, I really don't believe that he is so manipulative and devious to pretend to like her just to win. I think he is surprised by his feelings for Estelle but has decided to tentatively go with them.

Regardless of all the posturing in the forums, none of us can know how he really feels unless he tells us he is scamming her, ie the only way we would know for sure is if he announces in the diary room that the romance is a strategy.

Declarations of feelings for her will be dismissed by those that hate him, but any declarations from him that he is being strategic would be believed.

I agree...and very well said.

in total agreement - as much as Michael has said done some horrid things - Im still gonna be happy if this man wins - he entertainment value alone this year has earnt it

SCRIPTED - that's all I have to say..........if you think these 2 aren't getting 9 stage directions you have rocks in your head

Now I'm off to learn more about betting that's the only reason to keep watching.

And Ben should win, no wonder he bitches these people would spin your head right off your neck - and he is the ONLY HM NOT TO FAKE ROMANCE us.

This coupling makes my skin crawl, someone is doing a beast, or maybe both are beasts succubus & satyr, eeeeeeeeeeek.

Either way the production office must be reeling with the I suggest vote plummet across all HMs. The fans, indicative by FB explosion of disgust poor Ryan/it's all strategy/WTF are they thinking/Estelle's a slut, are so immobilised by their revulsion that I reckon voting has slowed.

The #bbau twitter mods are peddling so hard to talk up the relationship and convert some disgruntles.

Fuck. Dumb-me-down-Layla in her totally fake, bored relationship will romp through for a win! At least with Michael and Estelle there's sexual tension, passion...

Sam and Layla are suckface dunnyplungers.

I've been saying all along that I just don't see the Sam/Layla thing as believable. There is no 'magic' between them'. It's comfortable, affectionate, and comforting for both of them, but I see absolutely NO sexual tension. I don't think it will last more than month after the show ends.

Sam is already starting to show very small signs of not liking some of Layla's actions but he's keeping his feelings in check.

I agree and I never believed Sam's declarations to her either about the OS. He knows for all the tweenies he has to be the solid catch. The guy that stays... He's not very well educated but I think he's quite bright. Certainly goal-oriented - all those leadership pennants didn't surprise me.

I am feeling completely conflicted with the whole Michael/Estelle hook up......and their underlying motivation.

Anti:
I vaguely remember in the first few weeks of BB Estelle said that she loves the chase in getting a guy.....if that's the case the girl has ran a marathon......
or is she trying to improve her chances in winning the BB game, as a little romance can get a hm over the finish line...
or is just purely for attention from a male.

Michael the strategist discussing her with Ben in the CQ, he had said that being nice to Estelle could be an option as she is so popular (not exact words), so he is assuming that the public see her as the underdog....aussies love an underdog...so it requires a new strategy.....

If that's the case he's played it well......a little Estelle attention every day since the last CQ with Ben....to the final build up on Thursday night of the kiss.... knowing full well that the last daily show would be on Friday....with his visits to the diary room for his justification and reinforcement of his feelings for Estelle

Pro:
Surely Michael couldn't be that manipulative, calculating and far-sighted??.....Could he??
Estelle doesn't seem to be a conniving, scheming type and not the type to fake her feelings for the sake of a game , regardless of how much money is involved and I've really grown to like her in the last few weeks....

Maybe it's the same for Michael as well.......

How is Estelle to know?

She is bullied and manipulated by BB in this. If they had just shown some select clips of Michael. Like the brief one on tonights daily show from two weeks ago. Everything would be different.

When Estelle loses, it will be because the big brother producers, editors ect, decided to show her an inaccurate package during the secrets show.

This seems very plausible. As she's always been on the outer with everyone except Ava, she don't know no better!

The boner was real :p

This is how I think the show ends.

The cast:
Michael as Jimbo Jones (explains the missing pants in the bedroom)
Estelle as the nerdy babysitter chick
Zoe as Moe (explains the knife)
Ben as Bart (always spying and getting into other people's business)

Best line ever "now my pants are chafing me" Jimbo Jones, The Simpsons.

I actually think M&E could have had a good run if they kicked it off a month ago. Layla got flak for switching horses but then all the fans calmed down about it and got used to it, boring/fake as it is.

It's too late now for M&E $$$. The genius strategist just threw his own competition. An own goal as it were.

I agree. It's like he thought about it, if I can't win, she won't either. :p

Sam if he goes this week will deflate the Layla bubble completely.

They feel threatened and all this shit on the OS and fb are probably Layla's sister and family trying to rubbish the Michael and Estelle thing.

Sam and Layla shares took a crash this week. They have come off third fiddle to even Zoe and her Misery plot.

i thought i'm the only one seeing that...hmmm :-)

Gotta agree. All Sam and Layla do is laze about and snuggle = totally boring.

Yep agree - Layla has been snapping at Sam all week.
