Ben fans should realize Michael is his downfall

i don't think he misses josh in the slightest, josh was just someone whose popularity umbrella he wanted to shelter under

Agreed. When Josh left and Michael was talking about how bummed he was cause now there's no one to 'bounce off' was very telling. He wanted a sidekick for his fantasy 'Michael show', he didnt particularly care about Josh. Also his juvenile hatred of Ava and joy at her eviction was so distasteful. If you really 'loved' Josh you wouldn't be so happy about him losing someone he obviously really cared about. Every single thing about Michael is fake and calculated to cultivate a 'persona' he thinks will help he win. Its painful to watch the housemates buy into it.

I've thought this for ages.

Michael usually starts by making a snide comment, opening the way for the others to contribute with their own bitchy comments. Ben is easily stirred so off he goes, squawking away like a demented fucking energiser bunny while Michael, content with his fiendish creation, slinks backwards in a cloud of dark smoke into his evil mega-mind lair, chuckling in satisfaction and rubbing his hands in glee.

;)

Oh! I think I just fell in love!

Would that then make them a pathetic winner?

On topic, I agree with the O/P and most of the other posts in here.. and I really dislike this manipulation by Michael across the board (including to some degree the BB staff eg. his little chats to BB which are directed at the audience and not only unpunished as attempts to contact the outside world, but also televised or put online for access - or both!).

So, as you point out, Mike has the qualities of a winner.

But the attributes that you ascribe to Michael, which you so dislike, are the attributes of a winner.

Which attributes would they be?
Let me remind you of my original post in this thread:

I don't see anything about winning attributes there. I see a negative comment about a particular behaviour and not much else.

Michael appears to be a rather abhorrent tosser. If he wins, I will definitely indulge in a great deal of foot stamping.

Ben is responsible for his own actions - both the good and the bad. You can't say someone else is responsible for Ben being a bitch when he confessed he was the biggest bitch upon entering the house.

I was just about to post that Ben is responsible for Ben. He is a big boy and needs to, obviously once again, own his own conseuences. No on is twisting his arm. Ben is Ben. No one else is responsible for the fact he has a mouth that does not shut down.

You have highlighted two positive attributes in you post - Michael's ability to manipulate the situation to his advantage and his ability to get his message across. That you do not see these attributes is your problem.
