Sleeping with Stuffed Animals (at your age?)

Is it just me, or does anyone else find it strange that 20-something year olds still have stuffed animals which they take to bed at night. Zoe has Pumba (from the Lion King) and I think Angie (or is it Estelle) has a stuffed animal too. I stopped needing my teddy bear when I was very young.

Not unusual with young adult females.

Zoe has Pumba

Angie has Floppsie

Estelle has Simba (I think)...

The only stuffed animal I slept with as a young adult female, was a slightly overweight dude I picked up at The Metro.

In my defence, I had consumed a vast quantity of Jack Daniels.... and he told me I was pretty.

Big Brother always seems to have female housemates that are emotionally underdeveloped for their age. I guess that this would be evidence of it.

I think it's strange too. I know it's probably a comfort thing/reminder of home but they seriously get their knickers in a knot when they are touched or go missing and I find that a bit disturbing.

Hahahaha! LOVE it!

Sam has Layla the Elephant.

*sniggers*

LOL!

In regards to Zoe, I think her sleeping with the stuffed animal is indicative of her somewhat stunted emotional growth. We see it in many other areas of her personality.

I find it pretty odd. I didn't even sleep with them as a child...

I slept with my pooh bear until my honeymoon in all fairness to my stunted emotional growth I was younger than any of the female housemates when I got married. ;p

I've asked adults I know who have had stuffed animals. Most have said it's more to do with where they put their arms than anything else.

I think it is retarded. I will take a stuffed toy to bed tonight and see what response I get from my husband:) My children gave up sleeping with them very early on. They even wanted to discard them but I have put them away for when they get nostalgic.

I'm 22 and I'd probably take one in with me if I went on BB. I don't sleep with one regularly but I imagine they work in the same way the photos do - as a comfort and a reminder of home. From what I've seen in the house it seems to get pretty emotionally draining. Some housemates turn to each other for comfort, but not everyone is going to be willing or able to spoon another person.

But at the same time they do need to be aware that they're in the big brother house, and objects that carry emotional significance are going to be used against them or taken away.

Does Layla have one too, I can't remember? Yeah, it seems a bit odd to me too, though not as weird as when older women do it eg Lorraine Chase on I'm a Celeb.

I don't see anything wrong with it. It is bringing in a piece of the life they are leaving behind. Something to comfort them. They might not normally sleep with a stuffed animal but in this situation i get it. (though actually have to admit have a small stuffed with kitty in my bed right now, my husband bought it for me when I was really sick a couple weeks back, huge Big Bang fan and he knew it would make me laugh)

AH HA !!!! I worked it out.

Maybe the teddy bears are being used to smuggle in vibrators.

Lets check and see if Zoe gives her pumba 'grown up' hugs...

Maybe they use them for extra pillow height, side, whatever. A toy gives them something to do with their hands , and arms, so as not to get carpel tunnel and stuff. Of course Layla does not have a toy , so I can only imagine what she does with her hands to keep them occupied.

Soft kitty, warm kitty, little ball of fur ...

A nice gesture by your husband there.
