We mustn't be seeing what Estelle is doing...

I don't for a second believe Angie was ever being honest and accurate when she's described Angie playing up for the cameras. I think every now and then we just see Estelle entertaining herself.

I loved how Stacey agreed with Angie about Estelle playing it up for the cameras. Stacey - pot meet kettle!

9 have made her a mystery.....
Interesting that we have learnt more about Estelle in the past week than during the whole season............why now?
single mother, poor, left school to support herself neither parent could, doesn't seem bitter towrads parents, somebody is a heroin addict - we assume possibly Dad.

Then the mention of Michael doing it.. but it's ok when he does it because they laugh.

Michael and Stacey are the biggest performers in there.

I'm fairly sure their reasons for bitching are completely artificial; the Housemates are jealous of her popularity (she has been continuously saved from eviction), they see her as a threat, and they can't understand how somebody can be so free and kind (she never bitches about anybody). Basically, she's an easy target. Those suckers.

Also, Ben and Michael are INSANELY hypocritical. They both jump around like goats on crack half the time, and yet, somehow, everything Estelle does is weird? Oh my gosh, I can't stand these blokes!

This must be said - I see what Michael and Ben are doing, that's for sure. :) They both have nasty mouths, they're cruel, they're judgemental and hypocritical... I'm hoping, with everything I have, that Ben walks out of the house this sunday.

Okay. But WHY have we not seen Estelle's talking to the mirror, etc? I feel as if the producers are protecting her. She's not as bitchy as the other housemates, but if they're all saying she does the same thing, why haven't we seen what she does? The producers are airing the housemates bitching sessions, but we're not seeing what they're all talking about.

Why is it Ok for us the viewers and fans to be able to comment and bitch about every housemate and have in depth personal opinions on them but then attack when the housemates do it?

Because when you or I bitch about say... Delilah, she can't hear it because she is in the house. Ergo our bitching won't affect her and ergo again, she won't change her behaviour in the house.

Once she leaves the house everything changes of course. I would advise Delilah not to read our posts or you and I will have to run for our lifes.
At the very least Delilah will be psychologically scarred for the rest of her life. :D

She started annoying me from the outset, as soon as she opened her mouth and started saying how unique/weird/complex she is, and then never let up on it. Everyone likes to think they're unique and complex, but most people have enough going on in their lives that they don't feel the need to constantly try and convince people of their uniqueness.

I get a major tryhard vibe from her. I think if she had just stopped talking about her uniqueness and let herself just be, the others would have been more accepting of her. Someone so intent on discussing their weirdness comes off as contrived and affected. When Estelle isn't talking about herself and how complex she is, she doesn't seem to be on the show. Sometimes I forget she's on the show until someone starts moaning about her or she starts 'rapping' and then I just feel a whole lot of second-hand embarrassment.

She reminds me of someone I know in real life who comes off equally as contrived, while being totally hung up on their own idea of how much of an individual they are.

OMG, I think I love you. This is how I feel about her, but couldn't figure out how to put into the right words

They are bitching behind her back...not to her face (just like us) I dont see much difference to her leaving the house and being psychologically scarred by watching footage of what housemates have said about her then to her being psychologically scarred by reading even worse things being said on here

Question - if all the HM's weren't talking about Estelle would anyone even know she was in the BB house?

Of course she never Bitches about anybody, she has no one to bitch to. Yes i agree the other housemates are more than likely shocked, frustrated, and jealous that she is still there. This only strengthens the O.P opinion that we are not be shown the true annoying Estelle. There has to be something about her that is annoying the entire house.

We mustn't be seeing what Estelle is doing to annoy the other hm's. Yes, the bitching towards her is harsh - but would the hm's lie about her doing awkward things like talk to the mirror? Perhaps it does come across as fake - but we've not seen any of the things the hm's are annoyed with her about - which they all seem to agree on.

I agree, there must be something that we are not seeing on TV.

She was close with Ryan and Ava (and Bradley and Ray to certain degrees) There was no 'bitching' there. Shes also getting on well with Sam and they didn't show her on TV last night talking badly of others, when Sam said Michael and Ben are probably talking of her now.

Just wanted to make the point that it can't be just Michael and Ben manipulating others. From the outset all HMs have commented on the various personalities displayed by Estelle. I don't know if it's odd and/or whether it's fake/real/good/bad. My comment is that it can't just be jealousy as it makes no sense. Why would Bradley be jealous of Estelle? He didn't like her once she rejected him but not a jealousy thing. Also am sure Josh can think for himself and yet he also never stopped talking about Estelle's persona. The more I think about it, other than Ava - has any HM not talked about the oddness of Estelle? LIke I said it's not a judgment call - just trying to understand why they all do it so often and consistently - including Sam.

True, I forgot about Ava.

don't think it's jealousy - possibly confused
if they are seeing a different side to her that makes her annoying they're wondering why would the public save her - they'd have no idea that most of her support is out of sympathy (i am sure some people genuinely enjoy her on the show)
Ben is wrong in that people are not saving annoying people - but he's onto something about her being a big personality but not in the way he thinks.

Maybe we are not see everything with Estelle but to me its seems they have honed in on these things and what difference does it make if she is doing those things in front of the mirrors. Why is it such a problem? It just seems they are looking for reasons to nominate and get rid of her. Ava didnt seem to have a problem with her at all. In fact joined in on the sillyness. If you felt on the outer in a group situation and locked away for any length of time maybe you would start acting a little crazy too!:p ;) Whatever helps keep you sane and lighten the moment, after all is she hurting anyone else?

I personally don't think it is jealousy either. I think she is different to most of them. Maybe she is socially awkward at times. But she does seem harmless.
In regards to why everyone has issues with her, I think it is convenient to target someone and gang up on them for self preservation, especially in this game where you have to nominate. So they bitch about her just to reinforce that she is the group's designated target. Frustration at her survival is playing on their minds now too.

From what I've seen, Ben, Michael and Angie annoy the crap out of many. I find Estelle fresh and soothing. Ben, Michael and Angie exert negative energy, Estelle exerts positive energy. Personally, I think it's primarily a case of 'let's pick on the nice girl'.

It's not that she has no one to bitch to (she does - Sam, for example), she just refuses to stoop to their level. :)
