Could Michael's gameplan become unravelled?

Longbow

Self Destructoid
Just before going to bed i looked on the BB website at the updates which is something i don't really do and found this little gem.

“He hates everyone,” Michael reveals to Angie that his BFF Josh is ‘over’ living in the House.

Angie tells Michael she can feel it. She also reveals she’s disappointed her and Josh have drifted so far apart (hinting it coincided with Ava’s arrival to the House).

“I feel I can never regain that,” Angie misses the good times she used to have with Josh. “It’s now awkward central. Population me and Josh.”

Angie complains about Josh for a bit, before Michael warns her to ‘watch herself’ the night before Nominations.

“It’s a strategy game. It’s a game of chess,” he says he can’t give her HMs any excuse to send Nominations points her way.

Michael says he wanted to go to bed early tonight, but didn’t against better judgement. “I need to seem happy that I’m saved,” he says of his BB act.

Pretty much spilling the beans that he does and is capable of putting on an act, yes others do it but never admit it as it's perceived as deceiving the public.

Will this little exchange of strategy affect viewers perception of Michael? Will he be liked more for his game playing? Or less as there is that certain stigma attached to game players? Or perhaps the bigger question is, Will this even be aired as it paints Michael a certain way?

Perhaps he thinks Angie was one of the others that nominated him last week, due to the cooked swine incident.

I think he is trying to make sure he isn't rolled under the bus again.

That's my theory, be interesting to see if he says the same stuff to anyone else.

It would be to early in the game for him to fuck over josh completely...

If people never picked up on the fact he's been saying to Josh all along that he's biting his tongue, not saying what he'd say to people in the outside world is him playing the game. Then even this will do nothing.

I think he's moving into Phase 2. Eliminate the competition.

Phase 1 being, befriend and be on good terms to survive. Eliminate variables and people not in you clique.

You have to think, there's what 3? 4? single nominations left at most. Maybe less. You want to loose your biggest competition now. So maybe he's maneuvering to get everyone else to nominate Josh. He has been up, may be again. So has to shift towards others in his crew. Or maybe he wants someone strong up to ensure someone weak goes.. I don't know. It's too hard to guess what they are thinking.

We'll see what happens tomorrow with nominations.

But right about time for him to fuck Josh...........oh, um, nevermind.

Well, DID YOU SEE that chest smothering last week?

As a gay man who has had similar fun with so-called "straight" friends, trust me, that was HOMO CENTRAL!!!!

You bring up some good points up_all_night, currently i don't like Michael as from what has been shown thus far it's just someone who's pandering and mostly happy, a zany type character perfect for the little kiddies with mobile phones who's parents are fronting those bills they stack up. If Michael turned into a maniacal mastermind beast of a guy that turns on his best friend, starts telling people what's really on his mind and actually starts getting serious i might finally have a favorite. The pièce de résistance would be Michael sucking in the public and when he wins and comes out he just turns on everyone and says "gotcha suckers!!!" greatest moment in BB history and perhaps one of the greatest in reality tv history. Well i can dream.

Going to bed now but hopefully there will be more discussion tomorrow for me to dig in to.

Again, that was EXACTLY what Aaron was like in BBUK last year.

Vile shit of a slug.

No, Aaron wasn't a mastermind if that's what your referring too. I saw him as a sad pathetic man that the girls thought was hot yet 'broken' as some girls like that jaded brooding type douchebag, mostly teenie boppers for sure.

Brad asked Angie a wee while back what would she do if she got the super power. After that conversation I think she is expecting him to give it to her.

He had the older women vote more than the teenies, they went for Jay who came second. Aaron won the public over because in the diary room, he really played on the fact that some of the HM's could be seen as oiks and he wasn't. Ok he was given a lot of material to work with, like Jay freezing his shit and leaving a message in blood to the girl he liked to name a few, but he gently tapped into the snob side of the public. A kind of he's all proper so why would you chose HM's who aren't so sophisticated thing. Plus there was this whole thing going on that BB didn't want him to win and a campaign to make sure he did to pee BB off. Really Aaron was a selfish spoilt brat, who often had sulks and strops and expected his showmance mate to do as she was told. But that got lost under the 'save Aaron, pee off BB' and 'he's the only decent one there' thing that was going on. Couldn't stand the bloke, but pretty much all the HMs' were crap that year anyway!

So compared to Michael, I don't think he's done that yet, although I think he thinks he's superior, don't think he has made that an issue with the public yet Aaron did. I do think that Michael has thought this out a lot more than Aaron did. Pretty sure if Aaron was female and acted the way he did (strops, sulks etc), he'd have been out the house, so although there was big element of appeal to the snob in the public, game playing, he didn't have it fully sussed. I think Michael has. I guess now he has to start maybe just laying down a few comments to move the game on. Of course it's handy if the person you're talking to has something to say about it too, as then it doesn't look so calculated. I think he may do the subtle, make the odd comment to certain HM's about certain HM's, like in a way, telling them it's ok to question the more popular ones. Because once HM's know that someone else feels the same, they're more likely to say it again to others. Of course, he'd have to play this really subtley, so be interesting to see if he does do that and if he does, if he pulls it off.

I think it is also a pretty accurate portrayal of the other housemates.........how he knows them well enough to know how they will paint things. Some big players, with years of manipulation experience , living in that house atm. Years of getting their own way by their reactions and actions.

It's his nomination talk.

Interesting chat he had with Zoe had earlier in the evening about how Josh has had a big turn a round about Estelle and how his own feelings have changed towards her as well...so I would be surprised if either if these two nom Estelle...but by mentioning that he thinks Josh is 'keen' on Estelle could be viewed as nomination talk against Josh...???....maybe...

and later Angie was discussing how she is worried about how some of the hms are treating her differently and that said Benjamin told her it was probably because they were ‘aligning’ themselves with other HMs. Michael tells her:

“You can’t take everything he says as fact"

So is Michael's way of telling Angie that he is not nominating her???

Michael seems to be turning against most HM's.

He may think Angie was most saved last night. And he thinks he has to allign himself with a popular HM.

And that's why he was talking to Angie & his thoughts on Estelle has changed. (because she has been most saved before. Also he has a feeling Estelle listened to him during nominations.)

Remember Ben had 'words' with him the other day. So that could be why he said to Angie, “You can’t take everything he says as fact"

Not much to do in there but wonder about all the outside voting variables, the house current............can change and before you know it your angie, must be doing some heads in about now.

Yes perhaps your right with the older women vote minus the teenie boppers, just add my little quote onto yours and that would sum up Aaron nicely.

However at the least and i do stress LEAST, Aaron had all his sides shown, practically the good, the bad and the ugly (and downright cringe worthy) yet i do absolutely agree it was turned into the Aaron show in the end. All I've seen from Michael is wacky zany Michael that people are suppose to love, laugh and applaud and Saddy Waddy Michael where the viewer is supposed to sympathize with how he feels in the house (so loved, yet so alone is the style it feels like BB's going for).

There's a video up of Josh and Stacey talking about how they've gotten to know Estelle better lately and softened towards her. I think it's called "It's all about timing".

I think the only way Michaels gameplan would unravel from here depends on two variables occuring AT THE SAME TIME:

a) the HM would need to see his dark underbelly (gameplaying one not the icky unwashed one) and nominate him for it or align themselves against him because of it.

b) the viewing public see Michaels manipulation and gameplay and his popularity drop because of it.

I honestly can't this happening without some sort of major shake up/argument/awakening inside the house or BB letting us SEE Michael in his true state and letting the public vote to evict.

Neither is going to happen as I think BB has him as their chosen one so I declare Michael winner of BB 2012.

I think it is pretty obvious to anyone watching that Michael is a game player. He's quite clearly strategising to win. I never thought that would be in doubt. I thought this is one reason he is popular, because he is trying to win but isn't being the bitch that others like Ben and Stacey are. I like the fact he is trying to win. It would be interesting to see if the housemates fully realise this too. I kind of think on some level they know he is strategising but can't see the big picture due to the insular nature of the house.

I'll be very curious how he nominates tonight....out of the 7 evictees he has nommed 5 and with his major points...it went askew last noms as he must have missed the memo about not voting for Estelle...although he has voted for her 4 times consecutively ...guess he will nominate Sam and maybe Layla??..
