Estelle's "hard life"

The difference between Estelle and most others is that she announces she has pain, whereas others don't.

Did anyone ever mention that for horse racing you need a car like a range rover?
Also it looks like a relative new Discovery from the pics on her twitter.
Still we have no idea if she bought it new, how new. If it was her parents and they gave it to her ect.

Shit one of my friends used to drive a relatively new Lexus 4wd and didn't have Job. It was her parents handed down.

Comm Gov Call Centre operator couldn't be much more than a level 3 / 4 unless she is some type of supervisor. I would even say level 2. WA public sector wages from L2 - L4 $52, 579 - $71,794.

They had a policeman on BB, forget his name it was when they had the split house.

Re Estelle, to have two houses, surely you would also need two deposits. Even if the houses were in Feral Central they'd be at least $150,000 each. (surely) Say she got a graduate loan with a 3% deposit required on each house that would be around $9000 then you add stamp duty on to that.

She is like one of these people that seems to have done more than is possible for her age, she is 24 years old, has a Law Degree (4 years?) had an extended holiday overseas last year and is buying or owns two houses, hmmmm.

Anyone with real estate connections in NSW / VIC (wherever she is) Search her name on your land owners database and see what she actually owns.

LOL. Working for the Govt does not necessarily mean your a politician!! What a crack up. I worked for Centrelink for a while as a Centre Manager. IMO Estelle is far too young to have any kind of SNR management role within the Govt. And I also have NO idea how working for the Govt equates to owning two properties, specially when your only 24yrs old.

What sort of an answer is that to a reasonable question?? Fucking stupid bitch. Her and Ava make a good pair. They are both full of shit

She has 2 properties, not houses. She probably has them to keep horses on them. I live in a rural town and you can buy land for like 60k. So you could potentially have a house and land in a country town for under $250k. Here you could.

You'd think if she had land for her horses, she'd say I own two blocks of land not two properties. regardless, you'd still need money for a deposit and stamp duty x 2.

Good for her if she has a couple of properties but I just can't figure out how she would have managed it alone given her age, the banks aren't throwing money at people like they used too.

One of the properties is her family home, which her mum has owned for 30 odd yrs and Estelle is a co-owner (no mortgage) then they up sized only last yr and bought a new house, using the equity from the first property and have tenants in original house. We are talking houses worth 200k max... Comprende?

It's no barrier to life problems but hardship is a word most closely associated with economic privation. Money doesn't buy happiness but it does allow you so suffer whatever problems you do have in a degree of comfort. As the Charles Bukowski character says in Barfly, "nobody suffers like the poor."

The people who suffer the most are the ones who suffer from mental illness, and the ones who have been affected by abuse. These are the people who jump off bridges and put bullets in their own heads because that it is less traumatic than living their lives. I think it's safe to say that these things are far more associated with hardship than economic disadvantage is.

I'm not trying to downplay the seriousness of economic disadvantage and poverty in any way, but to suggest that it is somehow the definite form of suffering is simply not true. In fact, the major reason why people who are poor suffer so much isn't due to poverty per se, but to the other social problems which tend to correlate with poverty: abuse, addiction, violence etc. People who are financially well off can experience these kinds of problems too, which is why I'm so bewildered by the way everyone has automatically jumped to the conclusion that Estelle can't possibly have experienced any hardship in her life just because she appears to have come from a financially stable background.

yep

gawd you must get sick of repeating yrself on here?! LOL

Vienna and Tess, Gosh, you must have a lot more spare time than me, I certainly don't read every single post in the multitude of BB threads. I have a full-time job to hold down which keeps the wolfs from the door and helps me pay off my two properties. :D

Just remember in the future, it costs nothing to be pleasant.

Oh and by the way, I don't mind Estelle but was just curious as to how she came to be a x2 property owner at such a young age.

I wasn't being unpleasant

and I was not talking to you

Money does not automatically make your life easy. In saying that, I hate people who use these things to gauge sympathy or gain attention, as a fully grown adult it is up to you to control how you act (mental health is an exception). If you are going to try and shrug off your behaviour to a 'hard life', either open up to people and allow yourself to be empowered and remove the victim status, or accept that people are going to eye roll you. Other option, not say anything if you do not want people to pry.

The first property was her mothers place (no mortgage). they redrew the equity to buy a second house and tenanted the first.

Let's say both properties total 400k and they only owe 200k with repayments of $600 a Fortnight, now Lets say Estelle gets $1800.00 a fortnight and has a rental income of $400.00 a fortnight. This would leave her with $1600.00 a fortnight and that's only if she pays the whole mortgage herself. This isn't even taking into account first home owner grants and concessions. I don't see how this is unrealistic for a 24 yr old? I'm 25 and own 2 properties...

She doesn't have a law degree, she is studying via correspondence and she didn't go on a holiday, she saved for her flights, than worked all day cleaning out horse stables and riding horses, so that she could sleep above a horse stable and get fed. She wasn't paid, it was solely for the training/experience.

And I just realised you edited your post and cut out the ? so this probably doesn't make much sense anymore :p

I'm sorry if my post came across as me having ago at you because it wasn't even directed at anyone? More to the whole thread as everyone was speculating about Estelles financial situation. Also what Tess said about me repeating myself was because she asked me about Estelle studying? Anyway, I do have a lot of time on my hands between baby crying/feeding/crying/sleeping/crying/crying/crying :p
