My big question: The HMs cannot curse because it is a family show but on the confidential show Josh's naked butt was on display. In the US (where I live) they blurr out the faintest of even butt cracks!

The Golden Record omits the Pioneer naked humans precisely due to American censorship. In fact the Pioneer omits a single line in the depiction of the human female. Its a golden record of humanities frailties in the area of facing up to who we are.

I chose the golden record from Voyager I as my avatar, partly to celebrate Voyager I making it out of the solar system, becoming the first human made object to make it into interstellar space, 35 years after it was launched, on September 5 and partly because the image makes many perceptual and symbolic assumptions that are a bit strange - like aliens will have depth perception, and know what an arrow symbolises, and what it means. The 'steer clear of the lady bits' message is not included in Gombrich's observations, though.

i felt josh sang ALOT more since ava joined the house, and his songs were gettting better too, and the way he looked at him, very flirty, and he actually asked her if she needed a cuddle (last night's show) then they were in a longer than usual embrace. josh is definitely the 2nd person who ava spent lots of time with.

Gombrich has it completely confused.
He shows the plaque from Pioneer 10 not Voyager which had the Golden Record that depicted only a silhouette of the naked couple.

One can see that the woman's genitals are not really depicted; only the mons veneris is shown. It has been claimed that Sagan, having little time to complete the plaque, suspected that NASA would have rejected a more intricate drawing and therefore made a compromise just to be safe.[2] However, according to Mark Wolverton's more detailed account, the original design included a "short line indicating the woman's vulva".[3] It was erased as condition for approval by John Naugle, former head of NASA's Office of Space Science and the agency's former chief scientist.[4]
Sagan himself, however, later wrote:
"The decision to omit a very short line in this diagram was made partly because conventional representation in Greek statuary omits it. But there was another reason: Our desire to see the message successfully launched on Pioneer 10. In retrospect, we may have judged NASA's scientific-political hierarchy as more puritanical than it is. In the many discussions that I held with such officials up to the Administrator of the National Aeronautics and Space Administration and the President's Science Adviser, not one Victorian demurrer was ever voiced; and a great deal of helpful encouragement was given...The idea of government censorship of the Pioneer 10 plaque is now so well documented and firmly entrenched that no statement from the designers of the plaque to the contrary can play any role in influencing the prevailing opinion. But we can at least try."[5]

They missed out one of my favourites. In Florida, it is illegal for single, divorced, or widowed women to parachute on Sunday afternoons. I'm guessing at some point the good folk in Florida's legislature were fearing unmarried women having confounded ideas of liberation.
I think the Josh Ava thing is kind of showing the way social constructs and identity lead to people hooking up and attraction. It was all kind of like, Josh is the stud. He's the ladies man. He's the desirable one and so forth.

The Golden Record was much more clever though in some ways in that it had an ultrapure coating of Uranium 238 that has a half life of 4.51 billion years. Any future find would be able to identify roughly how long ago it was made by analysing the breakdown products as a percentage of the remaining Uranium 238. Pretty clever.
Its likelihood of ever being found is infinitely less than the needle in the haystack BB punishment. A symbolic effort of mankind to leave at least one mark in the Universe. Profound if you think of it.
