I am loving the series but finding EstAva a really weird frienship
Ava seemed to have her head screwed on at first but just hanging with Estelle is a dumb move - you dont have much time to make a first impression - so unless you dont plan to stay- make friends - plural

I think she has a secret - and it might be shes gay

Stella is playing this beautifully...
Keep Ava from being groomed by those who want to better their positions.

I will admit that I find their behaviour with each other to be very peculiar.....reminds of six year olds playing in the school playground..
In Ava's profile on the official bb site she says:

"I‘m very social, I engage with everybody because that’s just how I am, it’s part of my personality. You’ll find that I tend to get along with the girls just as much as I get along with the guys. I don’t see any reason why I can’t be mates with everybody"

and didn't she say she has a degree in communications????.....not doing so well in that area... isolating oneself with just one other hm who is an outcast and dancing in the bedroom...or loungeroom....or kitchen with no-one else around...would not be classified as great communication.

Does your understanding of a communications degree extend beyond assuming that what it does is help the students communicate better with others?

I too find their relationship a bit cringeworthy - the stuff they do is what a pair of primary school girls would do. Definitely odd. They seem to love each other a bit too much, eventhough they've only known each other for a few days.

I find it is just what it seems to be. Some people get on better than others. Who decides that estelle and ava cannnot get on ? Stacey ? Ben ? evicted Sarah ? ............. who cares what they think . Who cares what sort of house they think BB wants. The are the mice on the wheel.....not the driver. They truely need to get over themselves. I hope Ava stays until the end and bets the pants off them all. :)

Yes, because Ben and Stacey's nasty jibes, constant gossiping and bully behavior isn't reminiscent of primary school students at all.

I didn't say it is not, did I? In fact, I do not agree with what Ben and Stacey are doing at all and I'd go as far as to say I have gone off them completely for this. But this topic is about Ava and Estelle and I am not about to hijack it and talk about them because there are plenty of threads dedicated to that.

Maybe it was just a knee-jerk reaction on my part. I just feel as though in a situation like the big brother house where they are essentially treated like children (naughty corner/in trouble for swearing/the animals task etc) it's not surprising that they are behaving like kids. But while Ben and Stacey are displaying the worst (ostracizing others/gossip etc), Ava and Estelle are pretty harmless and sweet. Which has now been deemed 'weird' - something that would not happen if they were also bitching and gossiping

Not weird at all, good on them! Clearly a number of the other housemates have a problem with it, as they have tried to exclude Estelle and now they have been confronted with a new housemate coming in who has embraced her. Good on both of them, and if Estelle does end up going on Sunday-which I hope does not happen and I now do not think it will, then Ava will definitely have my support.

The gay thing on BB is one of my love hate things. Some past gays have injected a lot of interest but having one every fucking season is a bit much imo.

They're in society yes. But not EVERY group of 14 people I meet has a gay person. So I think they overdo it on BB.

At the start I liked Ben's presence for his cool first impression. Was a real fan and thought when Ray was shown that, ok we have two gays.

At one point in the first week I even thought this is a big BB stitch up and that ALL the male housemates were gay but that would be a very quick punchlne with no real ongoing tv value I guess for the interested demographic.

Anyhow, I just think there's too much gay on BB overall. It just smacks of that "token gay" stereotype for example. just my 2c

If Estelle gets the flick this week she'll obviously give the superpower to Ava... It would be good if she could use it in a way that gets Stacey & Ben in the shit :)

Ava has also admitted to watching the show before going into the house. She would already know who she would click with more before she went in. I don't find it weird, but they are both from Melbourne, whos to say they don't already know each other through mutual friends.

Is she still a student though??.. and no mention of whether she has a Bachelor’s degree or Masters, and didn’t specify if she specialises in any one field….
But I was only being facetious about that remark…however I do find it ironic that she said on stage before entering the house that she was looking forward to getting to know all the hms and then she doesn’t

Exactly.....lol I had to laugh when I read that comment about schoolyard behaviour and Estelle and Ava acting like schoolkids - the hm's are displaying classic schoolyard bullying behaviour towards Estelle. Estelle's happy to have someone in the house who isnt talking and stabbing her in the back - so what I'm happy she has someone, and I so hope Estelle stays now :)

I'm surprised there aren't a bunch of people piling on and calling her fake already. Mind you, Ben is accused of being fake and he's proved exactly the person he said he'd be, so it seems a lot of criticism like that is more based on emotional response.

It wont be a secret from BB. If it is it won't be for long unless she's so painfully far back in the closet that absolutely no one knows, in which case we'll never find out either.

You'll be relieved to learn that seasons 4 and 5 had no gays at all, not even bisexuals if I recall correctly. I'm pretty sure BB08 was a straight only scene as well.

Oh Thing............ you have just given me reason to smile if Estelle gets evicted...... flu here and vile.... I loveeeeeeeee that thought, because no one else has had Estelle's back besides Ryan. Ava has been watching it whilst in lockdown...so I imagine she has quite a few thoughts of who and what.
It would even make me watch all, or almost all of the show Sunday.

I'm not in the least convinced she is gay as when she was discussing her recent breakup with Josh she referred to that person as 'he' and 'him' ...and spoke about a partner as a guy...

also on her BB profile she states:

What’s your type?
I like a blokey bloke, I don’t like anyone who’s too pretty. No frills. Is well-groomed – confident, intelligent, must be witty. If you don’t make me laugh, it’s not going to happen.
