Currently listening to a cool little band called Dressy Bessy who are one of the lesser known bands in the Elephant 6 Collective (which houses such bands as Neutral Milk Hotel, of Montreal, Olivia Tremor Control etc). Good music

I'm listening to The Door's album LA Woman. Currently Hyacinth House, one of my all-time favourite songs. I don't know why really. It's not particularly special. It just gets me for some reason.

Hubby and I have spent the last 3 days outside working. We have listened to most of the Alice Cooper discography, Led Zep, Stevie Ray Vaughan, Van Halen, Pink Floyd, Kiss, skid Row, Status Quo, and many other artists.....my Itunes has 37.2 days of music so far. Hubby's has heaps more. I still have 250 CD's to add! Good to know that I have about 6weeks of music to listen to!

808s & Heartbreak - Kanye West
Been Waiting - Jessica Mauboy

(rotating between the two)

Unwinding with a bit of Sex Pistols. :p

Holidays In The Sun, probably my favourite song of their's.

Electrik Red - Drink in my cup

Watch out Pussy Cat Dolls, these girls are gunnin' for your spot in the music biz.

The Bird and Bee's Polite Dance Song. Inara George looks so disinterested, jaded, and aloof, I can't help but love her.

Why did you throw the Jack of Hearts away?
Why did you throw the Jack of Hearts away?
It was the only card in the deck that I had left to play...

^ How I love that song. So bittersweet. "I need a brand new friend". Gets me every time. :o

Anyways, I'm listening to a compilation I got a few years ago called Songs Most Chosen By Rage Guest Programmers. A really good mix of indie, rap and 'old school'. At the moment, The Buzzcock's Ever Fallen In Love (With Someone You Shouldnt've).

Keri Hilson - Turnin' me on

There's no reason why this single shouldn't blow up if it's released here. It defecates on anything that's currently in the Aria Top 10 singles chart that's for sure.

Deep Rooted - Crazy

My grasp on the Korean language is pretty non-existent, but I love this!

Uhm Jung Hwa - Disco

The Waifs - Fisherman's Daughter

It is a hot summer day - with a hint of a breeze. What better way to enjoy it than to throw on the waifs and enjoy being an aussie....

Wel-come. to. our. coun-try. It's. great. to. have. a. black. mem-ber. on. board. We. value. diversity, here, at, BBBA. I. hope. that. in. time. you. will. be. able. to. learn. our. ways. and. adapt. to. our. so-ci-e-ty. Good. luck, my. dark. skinned. friend.

^^

Just because a genre that is mostly made up of artist who happen to be black shouldn’t preclude me or anyone else of another non-black ethnicity from enjoying it. That’s a pretty sad narrow-minded attitude to have. I'm starting to think aussies are more backward than the yankee redneck trailor trash. *sigh*

It’s an odd thing to say considering hip hop and its offshoots have dominated music charts around the world since the 90s onwards, so it’s not like some obscure genre that’s not commercially viable that only a handful of people buy it. Which according to you would be just black people, right? It's not appropriate for anyone that isn't black to listen to it. I reckon it speaks volume of a person’s latent racism if that’s how their brain is wired.

What’s with the full stops after every word? It’s that your idea of a joke? me.don't.get Pretending to be a welcoming automated robot or something?? lol

The video below doesn’t consist of only black members. I wonder if you feel the same about them as well.

The DEY - I need you

K Smith - Alright with me (Will Smith's nephew)
