EXCLUSIVE: 'She was a party girl, it wouldn't have worked': Blake Garvey and Sam Frost split after she made 'drunken' calls while he 'regrets' rejecting Louise
The Bachelor's Blake Garvey and Sam Frost mutually agreed to part after a frank discussion about her partying antics, it has been claimed.
A source close to the real estate agent told Daily Mail Australia Sam, 25, would continually call him drunk while partying late, making him question his decision to propose to her and to jilt Louise.
He and Sam enjoyed two secret dates in a hotel room while the show aired and discussed his moving to Melbourne to be with her, but the inebriated phone calls that followed made him realise they were on different paths, the source said.
Perth-born Blake has been at the centre of a media furor since he announced he'd split with his reality TV show fiancee just 24 hours after the show finale which saw him propose.
'The pressures from Shine management [the production company] to propose and make this year's show better than the last was phenomenal so Blake did what they wanted,' a family friend close to Blake said.
'He did really like Sam and felt that Lisa was self sufficient and didn't need a man in her life.
'He is not dating Louise but they are very close and in regular contact.
'He desperately wanted to pick her but felt she was not able to handle the media spotlight. The producers convinced him to go with Sam as she was better [for] telly but his heart is with Louise. He regrets not picking her but hopes once the dust settles they can date.'
The source added: 'After they stopped filming Sam would call him drunk at nights and he realised they were on different pages.
'She is a sweet girl but Blake doesn't feel she is potential "mother of my children" material.
'They mutually agreed to split despite her claiming otherwise.'
The source maintained marketing assistant Sam told him if it did not work between them she would fix him up with Lisa.
'Sam hated Louise and told him he was not allowed to ever date her [and would bury him if he did],' the family friend said.
Last week Sam said she wouldn’t be surprised if Blake was dating another Bachelor contestant after earlier rumours emerged he was texting Pillidge and fellow runner-up Lisa Hyde the moment it was revealed they had broken up.
When asked in an interview with
OK! magazine if she thought Blake had hooked up with any other women from the show, Sam said: 'It's definitely a possibility and it wouldn't surprise me!'
It has also been reported that Louise had distanced herself from the rest of the girls, who have all been seen together since filming finished.
Blake was seen kissing several girls on the show as he weighed them up in footage that later prompted Sam to dub him a 'jacka**' on The Project.
'That was the executives putting pressure on him to ramp it up again,' the source maintained.
The source also revealed that Blake is currently on holiday with male pals in South Australia to escape the vitriol he has encountered at work and from members of the public on the street.
Prospective house buyers have bombarded his office at Acton with complaints saying they do not want him listing or auctioning their property.
His bosses have agreed to let him keep commissioning some sales but have taken his name off listings and auctions, the contact says.
One email sent to Blake's office seen by Daily Mail Australia calls him 'slimy' and 'an idiot'.
It reads: 'I will never be dealing with you or the company you work for as you cannot be trusted.
'You are one of the most slimy people I have ever seen.
'Your mother should be disgraced in the manner to which you deal with others.
'I have two daughters and you would not have got through the front door at my house.
'Hopefully you will realise the idiot you showed yourself to be.'
Meanwhile, Sam is preparing to embark on a new modelling career having signed with Melbourne's Brazen Models.
She is also considering hosting new show The Bachelorette.
