Those of us who saw it the first time around on the ABC (am I right?) are certainly pleased that SBS are really going on with all the eps. Guess its too "out there" for Aunty?
There is a Christmas special in all this. Hope it gets replayed on Xmas night here. Would be a real cracker.

Ian's father turned out to be a replica of Frank, Fiona spent the night with ex-nemesis from high school who now worked in social. sheila posed at monica gallagher, frank was reborn and mandy mcguire wasn't in the picture. i know she will be in future, but i never did like that storyline.

The McGuires do begin to get a bigger role in the third series - and they get some quite funny scenes.
Anyway - great news it's getting a fourth series, just hope we don't lose any more of the cast. I know that Kev, Lip and Veronica all have roles outside Shameless in the next few months - but I think most of them are just one-offs so they will hopefully be back.
Having said tha though it be interesting to see Kev and Veronica go and the neighbours from hell move in!

Waaaaaiiiillllllllll...
Tonight was so sad. It was WONDERFUL to see that gorgeous face of James McEvoy's again but now Anne-Marie Duff has gone too... she was such a gorgeous woman, a great actress and without these two actors I'm sure Shameless will still be a great show, but less without them.

Some not that unexpected news about series 4:
Maxine Peake and Dean Lennox Kelly have confirmed they have left the series, meaning no Kev and Veronica in the next series. They haven't filmed any leaving scenes so it will be left up to the show to explain their absense!
Not a huge surprise - but still disapointing. No news on whether Veronica's mother and brother will remain. It should open up the possibility of bringing in a bunch of new characters to move next door though!
Most of the Gallagher clan are expected to return - though no confirmation on Sheila (yet no suggestion she has quit).

I don't know when we'll see series III - probably either at the end of this year, or at the beginning of next. i suspect they'll replay series II in the Zwischenzeit.
Some great news regarding Shameless - it looks like it's going to stick around for a bit...
Series 4 will air from January in the UK and will see the focus begin to move away from the Gallagher family towards the Maquires.
The long term future looks secure following the announcement that Shameless will become one of the few UK shows to have a permanent set - allowing C4 to double the order for it's already commissioned fifth series to 16 episodes.
Although most the Gallaghers are back for the fourth series, there is no word yet on how many will return for series 5.
However...

Did anyone catch the Christmas episode last Monday? Great stuff, but I miss Steve and Fiona. I think Marty's girlfriend is a bit weak at the moment.
