Just watch the tone Dystopia - you've crossed the line a couple of times in your last couple of posts.
The British public voted for Brexit - political correctness has been thrown out along with economic security and national prosperity.
Can I sue you for harassment Brekkie? In today's climate of righteousness that shouldn't be a problem lol
I fail to see the connection between my musings on here and Brexit. I now, it must be that mysterious line that you are referring to, a line that resembles a chain of landmines , the location of which is known to the predator but not to the prey.
You may put economic security and and national prosperity in one basket, I admit, I don't know much, if anything about those in Britain since they are a local rather than a global one.
Political correctness however is an issue not only in Britain but all over the Western world. Long before Brexit, I could tell you when and give you examples, but I fear I might step on one of those landmines, Political correctness began to be inculcated into the minds of the public (not only in Britain of course, but it shines prominently with countries such as Germany and Canada to name but two) and has been nurtured by politicians in particular, because they want to keep their jobs and they need the votes. Plain and simple.
I won't even attempt to argue with you regarding PC in Britain post-Brexit, you see it the way you want to see it.
I am dismayed to see us all being led like lambs to the slaughter, I guess this is made possible by the power of the so-called 'main stream media' - which of course no longer exists.
It is ironic that audiences watching BB seem utterly unaware of the origin of the concept of the show. If they read Orwell's 1984, perhaps they would give a thought to the then fictitious concepts of 'Newspeak' and 'Doublethink'.
Political correctness, once taken root, cannot simply be neutralized - Brexit or not.
