I caught up on this one last night.

Yeah as discussed a lot of Dion, and dynamic between him and TeeJay.

Again some word watch, BB asking them what things mean - 'Pillow Princess' was a bit of an eh I'm not sure I've heard of before.

Blue Balls and apparently they've been trying to 'keep it PG' so none of them have actually gone the full go in there despite what the doona actions may suggest or so they say, but maybe some 2nd base kinda stuff.

The Pout session with Dion, Teejay and Jake was part funny, part really so you actually get into this... zone on a general night out? and it works? interesting... It's kinda like perfecting the 'duck face' look that some girls put on in selfies. Aye yai... lol

I think it's just a nature of political correctness in 2023. People are cautious about objectifying people. Body shaming and various other things. People are just way more cautious with what they say for fear they step over a line they don't know about.
You would be surprised that the argument against public nudity/porn has strong supporters on both sides of the political divide, take all of the age verification and other access restrictions on pornographic content being passed in various american state parliaments as of late, those measures often have strong support from both democrats and republicans.

This is because left wing democrats are concerned about the body shaming, objectification, and unrealistic depictions of sexual activity that is often connected with porn, while right wing republicans are concerned about the early exposure of minors to sexual content, exposure of minors to sexual content that goes against their parents values, and the commercialisation of sexual activity in general.

Just because backward American states are doing some things doesn't make it right - indeed it's very likely highlights how wrong it is in a country where shooting kids is seen as a constitutional right but god forbid they see a nipple.

If you're really concerned that porn gives unreal depictions of bodies and sex then arguably that makes a show like Big Brother Uncut even more important, showing real people with a variety of body types (though not this season!) being open and honest about such matters.

I’m very much a lefty, and with the America being Canada’s asshole, US/Canadian politics are intrinsically linked… I can say with confidence that there is no anti-porn movement on the left and there is certainly no agreement with measures being instituted in right-wing states.

I for one think it’s extremely hypocritical for the right to constantly use the “parental rights” rallying cry when it comes to eduction and healthcare etc but then don’t want to accept any parental responsibility for monitoring their children’s online presence or media exposure. Instead expecting society as a whole to do it for them.

I think you’ll find that if there are conversations on the left about sex work and pornography going on the key point is harm reduction not eradication. In the context of children harm reduction is having sensible and age appropriate sex eduction, and removing the shame, sigma, and barriers around having honest conversations about sex and pornography. The same applies to sex work which BTW is referred to as the world oldest profession for a reason. It’s not going anywhere. Prohibition and/or eradication measures only add to the shame, stigma, and make it less safe.

Lastly in the world of highly partisan politics what politicians are/aren’t supporting really isn’t necessarily reflective of where their base actually stands on a particular issue. By nature where a politician stands “should” be reflective of those who elected them but in reality they have their own motivations and agendas.

I remember when i was a kid, when there was the nipplegate scandal, where a singers nipple was exposed hence broadcast live to hundreds of millions of viewers across their nation during the superbowl, and how critics were saying how messed up america is when people are dieing from lack of healthcare and dieing from school shootings and going bankrupt from eye watering college debts and no one really cares yet one nip slip on tv and all of a sudden there is mass public outrage and multiple high level investigations from multiple state and federal government bodies.
