how much distance do these pens cover, you would think someone would notice the person doing it. i have never heard of them being used before, flares yes, lasers no

So stupid. I don't know why fans do it. From what I've read though the goalie was having a pretty crap day to begin with and probably didn't make much of a difference.

Technically light goes on forever but with a laser pen like that the 'distance' depends on the quality of the laser. Usually the cheaper the laser the greater the beam divergence which results in a 'weaker' and wider radius like we can see in the GIF. So really they could be anywhere in the stadium so long as they had a clear line of sight.

It looked like he had stuffed one of those miniature soccer stress balls in his nether regions. Who does that?

I'm liking Colombia from Latin America, they're playing amazing tantalizing football and hopefully go far.
your liking is working in their favour

It's not too hard to have a soft spot for them as they have been the outstanding surprise packet of the tournament thus far.

Yep and also me! Why wouldn't you support such a brilliant team like Germany.
Consuela, can you explain this?
Ha! I'm not entirely sure why Diego's giving Xabi a little wax but he doesn't seem to mind proving cross town rivalries can be put aside for the World Cup.
