Before The Bachelor even started there were rumours swirling about Richie Strahan's bad body odour.

Now one of his potential suitors, Laura Williams, has hinted that they are true, following her elimination on Thursday.

The 25-year revealed she was the one who pulled the plug on her short stint on the reality TV show, telling producers prior to the second rose ceremony she was no longer interested in vying for the heart of Richie.

In an interview The Advertiser Laura refused to confirm whether her decision to leave the show was swayed by Richie's sense of hygiene.

Evicted: Laura Williams, 25, told producers ahead of the second rose ceremony on The Bachelor that she wasn't interested in staying on the show

When asked about rumours of the Bachelor's unappealing body odour, Laura laughed and said: 'I can say nothing.'

Refusing to give in to persistent quizzing, the project manager said: 'He smells like Richie.'

According to New Idea, the hopefuls threatened to walk out of the Channel Ten show after they were left unimpressed by the hunk’s lack of confidence and his unpleasant smell.

‘No-one knew if he was aware of it, or if it was down to his nerves. But it was noticeable and was certainly a mood killer as far as romance goes,' said an insider.

Meanwhile, host Osher Gunsberg jumped to the Perth native's defence at the time to quash the claims.
'Never once did I detect the faintest hint of pong,' the 42-year-old told WHO magazine.

By Kristy Johnson For Daily Mail Australia - July 27th 2016, 11:51:09 pm

Sam Frost, 27, who has starred on both The Bachelor and The Bachelorette, has revealed that the premiere episode can actually take up to four days to film in entirety.

She has a wealth of experience when it comes to reality dating shows, having starred on both The Bachelor and The Bachelorette.

And on Thursday, Sam Frost revealed on her 2DayFM breakfast radio show, that the premiere episode of The Bachelor can actually take up to four days to film.

When quizzed by co-host Rove, the 27-year-old shared that by the fourth day you get all your glamorous attire 'back [on] again and do the pieces to camera.'

Revealing all: Former The Bachelor contestant Sam Frost, 27, shared on Thursday on her 2DayFM radio show that the premiere episode of the reality dating series can actually take up to four days to film

While live on-air, the popular personality shared a few surprising details on the lengthy filming process.

'We'll usually film it over two nights. But for me actually, I got ready for the arrivals on one night and then you do your getting ready shots, put your lip gloss on, and then they did meeting Osher in one night.'

Elaborating further, Sam went on to say, 'then the second night you go back, put on the same thing, do arrivals, a little bit of the cocktail party, chat to a few people.'

Then by the third night of getting ready, 'did the rose ceremony' and on the fourth day you get it all back [on] again and do the pieces to camera.'

Sam also revealed that despite the long hours, the contestants are well looked after.

'You actually get a crew break. You stop and go into the kitchen and have some food. They've got takeaway, salmon, beef, nachos, hence why you get so fat.'

'They actually have a very strict alcohol serving policy so if ever they feel like someone's had too much, they'll just cut them off and serve them water,' the radio host added.

'You actually get a crew break': Sam shared that despite on-screen appearances, there is more than adequate time for the ladies to have a meal break or freshen up

Despite being vocal about the show and letting viewers in on filming secrets, Sam is happy to move away from her reality star days and focus on radio presenting.

Speaking in the latest issue of Cosmopolitan Magazine, Sam said she's happy for someone else to be the centre of attention.

'I've had a great experience and I've met the love of my life, but I'm happy to just work on radio and pass over the baton,' she explains.

The 2014 season of The Bachelor saw Sam being unceremoniously dumped by Blake Garvey, who moments later paired up with fellow contestant Louise Pillidge.

The following year saw Sam's success change after falling in love with builder Sasha Mielczarek on the spin-off series, The Bachelorette.

Keen to put her reality days behind her, Sam is still happy to give her opinion on who Richie will choose out of this year's batch of girls.

Taking to her Twitter account Wednesday night, following the premiere of The Bachelor, Sam not so subtly showed her support for one particular contestant.

'I'm so #TeamAlex,' she shared with her 38,000+ followers.

Previously, Sam concluded that Western Australian bombshell Megan Marx would be the one to win over Richie's heart.

Support: Sam feels that single mother Alexandra Nation would be the perfect match for Richie Strahan, following Wednesday night's premiere episode

Speaking on her radio show earlier in the week, she even went so far as to analyse the producers' choice of music for Megan's clip, which is 'soft and romantic' to make the audience fall in love with her character.

Another giveaway, according to Sam, is the positive language used in Megan's profile on the Network Ten website, which paints the 27-year-old as 'endearing, street-smart, adventurous and loves being outdoors.'

Caught up on TenPlay. Thoughts:
A group date with Eliza is the kiss of death
Olena is a stunner but something is missing....like a personality
That green dress is the worst monstrosity I've ever seen on any Bach ever
Keira would find fault with a puppy, she literally hates the world
Alex is going to be invested to the max, and then come third

Two shows in and the media is beginning to dredge up the dirt on the girls past. When will these girls learn to make their Facebook private? Anyway, here Megan takes a hit, complete with receipts.

The Bachelor contestant Megan Marx has come a long way from her previous life where she was married at 18 and didn’t watch TV or movies or drink alcohol.

HAVING been married at just 18 years of age The Bachelor’s Megan Marx knows all too well what she doesn’t want.

Since then Megan has gone from brunette bride to blonde bachelorette and left a life of strict religion behind as well.

She has embraced the bachelorette life and put herself squarely in the public eye on Ten’s The Bachelor.

Speaking to Confidential, the 27-year-old said that she was raised in a sheltered environment where alcohol, bikinis and nightclubs were prohibited, although declined to call it a cult when asked about it.

“It wasn’t like I was in a commune, and what was reported about me having an arranged marriage wasn’t true. There are misconceptions because I got married so young, I got married when I was 18 years old to a guy I’d been dating since I was 14,” she said about the church, which she has declined to name.

“Life inside was different to most people’s upbringing — I didn’t watch TV or movies, and when I turned 18 it wasn’t like ‘Yeah, let’s go to a nightclub’, I got married instead. I couldn’t go on holidays for more than a week, because you had to be at church every Sunday.”

The Bachelor contestants, Megan Marx and Tiffany Scanlon have become friends since being on The Bachelor.
And it seems the TV show has helped her embrace life outside the church after forming a friendship with fellow contestant Tiffany Scanlon.

Since filming Ten’s reality show, — with the hopes of winning Richie Strahan’s heart — the duo have become close friends and made sure they watched Wednesday’s premiere together at Marx’s home.

A contestant on season four of The Bachelor, Megan is warming as one of the favourites.
“Both Tiff and I haven’t done a lot of this sort of thing before so it’s all very new and exciting, and it’s nice to have that sort of support from one another,” Marx said.

The two bachelorettes were the first to receive roses from bachelor Richie Strahan.

“For me, getting one of first roses only made me feel safe for that rose ceremony and it meant I could enjoy the night,” Marx said.
