I think Sam, from all the other housemates, is in it purely for the prizemoney. I say this based on some of his comments made to BB on the daily shows. Whereas some of the obvious ones like Stacey and Michael are in it to pursue a career in TV, radio etc.,
What do others think?

I agree I think Sam wants the money.

It's obvious Michael wants to win...but I'm not so sure it's for the money. I think it's more for the sake of winning. Same with Ben.

I think Angie wants it too, too bad she won't get it.

I think Sam and Michael for sure. Then again I think they're all in it to win it, but some want it more than others, and some seem to be willing to do ANYTHING to get it.

All of them do, fuck it, I do and I didnt even enter

Michael wants career opportunities but his whole game playing, genius persona suggests he wants to help that by winning. Or at least winning for validation he's as awesome as he thinks he is.

Josh wants a career, but is probably happy to have some extra cash for weed and to surf.

Sam is in it to win it.

The rest I can't be too sure. Obviously they'd all like it and care if they didn't win it. Still I think most of the main desires was to get attention, to become special or to further entertainment careers.

Ben is already planning his shopping trip and penis enlargement surgery. That's why I want him to win he can't go around the rest of his life looking like a Ken doll.

I would go on BB for the experience, not for the money.
But I think now that they're getting down to Top 8 they would be thinking about winning & the money a lot more

All of them, but Sam and Layla have said it to BB in the diary room that they want to win (Sam was direct and saw a clip of Layla in her whinny voice "I wannnnaa wiiinnnnn'. Michael has made references to being broke several times during the series and so did Layla in her launch night video, but it's no secret that they all want the money.

Every single one is eyeing that lump of cash.........and that is one reason they are rather superficial and we don't see any real great friendships, Josh/Mike is for camera time, it's like they choreograph the great Aussie mate crap they wont's stay friends unless one wins and the other wants money.
Most of them are broke students, or past students with debt with ambitions - Sam his own restaurant, Stacey probably wants a retro clothing line; Josh speaks of the precariousness of being in a band and having gigs allover to get to........

I think that's because that when they entered, they measured up themselves against the opposition and felt they had a decent chance sort of thing and started playing.

Zoe is a good example of this, once she saw what sort of housemates were getting targetted for noms, she changed how she interacts with people. She was quite loud in the first few days of being in there.

Ben and Sam have played the game from the get go and would regardless of who is in there.
Ben doesn't care about anyone in that house and will more than likely drop them like a hot potato once he's won/out of the house, they're pawns to him and he's using them perfectly.

Michael is a poor man's Ben, he was on track to take the thing out very easily but his insecurities and personality flaws have shown him to be weak and he'll be picked off before the end.
One has to wonder if the massive 7 year relationship he stupidly ended before going in is playing on his mind, that he simply has to win to ensure it was the right decision going in and losing someone that could have possibly become a life partner.

Josh has found himself in the top 9, I don't think he had any real plans but to cruise through and enjoy the experience.

I think they recruited Josh, and they lured him with the fact he's the kind that wins.

A conversation he had, can't remember who with, it just revealed a person thinking about/worrying about his future and finances and the logistics of playing anywhere in Oz.
He is serious about winning and screentime.
Ben gives me a vibe that he has plans, may be for a charity.
Layla wants a salon
They all want some dream

All the HM's want to win and win the money. It's all a game at the end of the day. Some just play better than others. If HM's say their in it "just for the experience" - don't buy it. They all want the money, they all want their 15 mins of fame and what if anything that might come of it later - radio, TV or whatever. :)

Layla, the stupid act and whiney ignorance is a great show!
dumps George when he outlived his usefulness and attached to Sam as a better bet
dumps Angie as a friend because being associated with her was not good for staying in the house
