Well done Sam!

Whoever has $250,000 in the bank will also have a huge tax bill that same year!

He doesn't have any Svengali-like grip on her. Layla is playing just as hard as Sam and she dumped George quick smart when Sam walked in because she knew George wasn't going to last so she needed to get herself another "cutesy couple" partner before Angie or Estelle hooked up with him. She knows exactly what she's doing and is nowhere near as dumb as she pretends.

Yes, I agree - Layla is playing hard. I also agree she's not as dumb as she pretends.
However, I don't agree that her targeting Sam was solely for the purpose of snaring the cutesy couple. I believe Layla was motivated by the fact she loves boys, saw someone cuter and wanted him. All that was further fuelled (and encouraged by Sam) by the competition amongst the other girls vying for his attention and her massive ego needing to claim victory and her prize. It was her ego not her gameplay in action, but it was Sam that was in charge and calling the shots.
In terms of Sam's Svengali-like influence - Sam: "I hate Bradley, Layla. He's rude and immature. Who do you hate?" Layla: "Oooh yeah, I don't like him either. I used to but he's rude." Ffwd Sam: "I hate Ben, Layla. He's behind all the bitching. Who do you hate?" Layla: "Oooh, yeah, I don't like him either. I used to but I just figured out he's always bitching."

So true

Layla nommed Bradley for being rude before Sam got there. The whole house nommed Bradley for being rude.
As for Ben, we can all see Ben can be bitchy. Why is it so hard to fathom that Layla also figured it out? You can't blame Sam for Bens bitching. Blame Ben. Plain and simple.

Layla was bitching right up there with the best of them, so she's no saintly paragon of virtue. Ben was spot on with the way she treated Angie her so-called best friend. Layla running to the diary room to defend herself was laughable - she was jealous and territorial and her nomination points for Angie, long after her issues with her were supposedly resolved, justified everything Ben said about her. With regards to Bradley, she was his self-proclaimed chief protective defender, until her boyfriendyouhavewhenyoudon'thaveaboyfriend George started nominating him, then Sam. Layla is a sycophantic sidekick, who can't function without a man. Layla never felt the need to exit bitching sessions with Ben in the past. She was engaging quite willingly, and she only started nominating him under the tutelage of Sam.

As for blaming Sam for Ben's bitching...I never did, so I'd like to see the evidence for that.

Furthermore, Sam spends an inordinate amount of his time dissecting the faults of his housemates, expressing his distaste for people and how he would not have time for them in the outside world for someone who abhors bitching. Anyone would think he's a closet gossiper, if he wasn't such a shining example of the moral high ground.

And if she wins, & he spent all my money.

And we will be

Sam is genuine he didn't know Layla was popular when he went in, after all he hasn't watched any of the show. smiley-laughing001.gif

Sam picked Layla because he knew he could manipulate her easily. Whisper sweet nothings etc. The power of two voting.

Sam is probably the person whom I like most in the house. He is pretty straight forward and level headed. He also has no problem with bb being a game, unlike others who twist themselves in knots. He is also pretty good at reading people. He had everyone pegged correctly very quickly.

After Josh probably my second favorite hm of the season. I did not expect to like him but he is a chill guy. I also think he is highly self motivated and will be pretty succesful.

Has he been 'open and honest' with Layla?
Negative? Pushy? His svengali-like grip on Layla could be considered just as manipulative. As was his formation of his harem alliance the foundation of which was negativity...just fashioned in a more politically correct way.
