Weird notification glitch

Hi all,
I'm not sure why, but for some reason, whenever I refresh the page or go to a new part of the forum, the notification bell at the top tells me I have two notifications, but then immediately disappears, and I don't have any new ones.
Any ideas why this could be happening?

Happens to me sometimes as well.
I go to 'Show All' then click 'Mark Read' and usually fixes it.

I had a weird one yesterday. It popped up with some replies for a few days ago as new.

Did you switch it off and then on again?

But also in all seriousness.... clear your cookies then log back in again and tell me if it's still happening.

Weirdly this happened to me yesterday with a bunch of notifications from over a month ago. Marked 'all read', and was ok again after that. Very odd.
