Vote numbers. True or not? How would we know?

I am not one for conspiracy theories. I don't even believe that what I am about to suggest below is really what might be happening. However, the following is nagging me a little ...

We don't get to see or hear who each individual housemate votes for. That part of the show is all cut and edited, just like everything else is. So how can I trust that Allen really got 12 votes, or that Soobong really got 12 votes? Those vote numbers could be purely made up so the producers can keep or evict who they want to evict. How would we, the viewing public, really know? There's no evidence shown about who voted for whom, so I am not so sure I can trust the numbers that Sonia says each nominee received.

That said, I do understand the housemates can discuss strategies and therefore I feel they would smell a rat if the numbers didn't "feel right". But, because BB watches and hears all, he could certainly "doctor" the votes how he wants so that things kind of do seem right to the housemates. And if we don't get to see each housemate, one by one, and hear their chosen vote, then we have no way to hold BB to account here. If time is the issue, trying to cram everything in to the hour and half show, then simply show a one to two second snippet of each housemate and who their vote is for ... repeat ... until we've seen/heard them all.

We (and they) would never know.

Further, not seeing who votes for whom means that I cannot get a good idea of housemate groups, housemate strategies, who's really two-faced, etc etc.

They post a video of who voted for who online after the show.

We have never known if the numbers are true or not in any BB series... or any reality show for that matter.

Very true.
In this day and age, more than any other, statistics or "ratings" can be be portrayed to assuage a particular agenda.

Annoying not to include them in the show though, even after the eviction Survivor style. Not including them actually makes the eviction process boring to watch - we're spending a few minutes watching people walking back and to to the diary room and not getting any reward on screen for it.

Something that came up in the episode thread is also the lack of suspense in the eliminations, as the evictee is clear once Sonia reveals the second number of votes.

A single “With a total of X votes, it’s time to go...” might be more apt.

Not a huge fan of the entire eviction process to be honest from Sonia’s clumsy script (what’s the point in saying “individually”?), the sad music after the announcement, the choppy editing of the votes, to the reveal. Everything should build on suspense but I feel like every time it builds it falls back down just as quickly.

It sucks having this format pre-recorded because we’re stuck with these somewhat minor annoyances for the entire series that would be easily fixed on the fly if this was playing out live.
