Historically girls tend to go early in BB. Happens every year and we get more guys than girls and they rebalance with intruders and shit. The existence of girls at the latter part of seasons is unrelated.

I think Travis is more liked in the house, so he is more likely to stay over Cat.

I don't know but when people nominated Travis/Cat they mentioned Travis and his actions over Cat's.
Not to mention, Travis is loud and very strategic. They've watched BB and they know guys like him go further in the game.
