Probst only caved to pressure because fans would revolt if he didn’t give in and because CBS saw ratings dipping if he continued. That said Probst knows best is still his mantra and he could really care less if fans disagree.

Probst is also backtracking on his "no more players from the first 40 seasons" stance, though he clearly prefers newbies and stupid twists.

Great news on getting rid of those two twists, both absolutely awful. Cast looks pretty good to me, could perhaps have had a couple more older people rather than a 19 year old who is obviously dead money, but overall pretty interesting group on paper.
