Travis & Aisha (Fake Relationship?)

kappuccino

I need to return some video tapes.
I am trying to figure out why they would have turned down the offer of 50k which is pretty much a free pass to leave with a portion of the winnings and start a new life together as a couple. Is it just me thinking that this relationship must be just a showmance? I know if it were me in that position and the woman I was with felt as real as I did about it wouldn't we both just take the money and go be happy on the outside together? I would think the experience was great and we had a blast.

We got offered part of the winnings what the hell let's just go out with a bang? But it's more of a case of..."let's stay in the house instead" It seems like they are possibly putting it on for the cameras and maybe they were too scared to see what would happen to their relationship on the outside? I didn't actually watch the discussion they had as to why they chose to stay in the house so your opinions would be greatly appreciated. What's going on here people?

I actually think it was the right thing to do ! They both probably have wanted to be on the show for years so it's more about the experience. They will never experience anything like this again. Alisha has already made $20000, so she leaves ahead. I really really respect them for it

Methinks Trivvy is totally in love with Aisha and had this romantic idea of running off into the sunset together with $5ok. Aisha is just demonstrating why she's never had more than $3k in the bank. She seems to find the topic of money a bit distasteful. I get the feeling they're both idealistic in different ways. And neither could be fucked trying to sit down in the Sanctuary and work out $250k - $30k - $20k - $3k = $197k x 10% chance either will win, vs guaranteed $50k now.

They obviously don't view the money as important as you or others do.

I don't see how that makes them idiots?

Completely agree with you!!! It's just because money revolves around peoples lives, stuck to their 9-5 job unhappy about life! Good on trav and aish

So glad they didn't take it or Skye would have $50k less when she wins.

Really though I think Travvy knows (thinks?) he is going to win so passed on the 50. Aisha is just dumb.

Ok so because they don't want to get ahead of themselves and leave with the 50k so they can run off into the sunset and start a life together its a fake relationship? I think they're just being realistic, if they left they'd be more likely to split the 25k each and not even be together. Not because they have a fake relationship, but because this sort of thing usually doesn't last on the outside. If they took it and we're all like 'omg were so in love were gonna start a life together with this 70k' you would all be criticising them about thinking they're gonna last. They've only known eachother for like 40 something days or whatever were up to. They don't have a strong stable relationship as they haven't been tested on the outside.

Yeah they are pretty thick. There's 10 people left and one 1 out of the 2 will have to leave. I guess they probably think the longer they are in there the more they will get on the outside?

Well, Travis lives in Melbourne and Aisha lives in Sydney, so maybe they thought that if they stay in the house longer then that's a longer time they'll get to spend with eachother before the reality of media engagements and the 'going home' hits..?

Or it could be fake.

I think they genuinely really like each other and will have a r/s outside the house.

They are just crazy for not taking that money.

Ultimately Travis could leave next week

Aisha the week after

Is 1 -2 weeks more in the house worth 50 k?

I'd rather leave on a high, enjoy leaving together with a pocket full f cash

think they also, surprisingly enough, trying to be little strategic. they figure, they got some popularity, so 1. say they doing this for the australian public hoping to get lots save votes, and then go on to win the lot. 2. not touching the prize pool, hoping no one dare give them eviction votes in the house, getting them closer to the final prize. i dont think its fake, but i not sure how it will go outside the house. but hey none of us enter into a relationship knowing how its going to turn out do we!

Well they are already promising each other that their relationship will extend to the outside world. I don't know about these two there's just a lot that isn't adding up for me.

The relationship is real to Travis. Not as real to Aisha. I think Aisha is using him.
Nah, she is actually all over him. Her crying was very authentic when he was "evicted". She has the hots for him, but I think it's more lust than anything. Whereas with Cat and Jade it was full blown love.

I think they are a genuine couple, and will definitely make a go of it on the outside. I do see some issues that may arise though, that will depend on how Aisha reacts to living with a guy who is "full on" continuously, lacks a bit of maturity, and having lived with his parents all his life is probably pretty irresponsible and lazy around the house like a lot of guys.

If they can get past all the little issues, lets face it, they know each other now far better than most couples would at this stage, having been forced to live with each other 24/7 for several weeks so I believe they can make it work.

My problem is that for game purposes and my own enjoyment as she was my favorite, Aisha's individual identity has sort of melted away becoming merely Travis' arm candy and it appears that any chance she has of actually winning herself has turned into dust.
