Tim...putting on a character?

Shackles

The pen is mightier than the sword.
If Ben is putting on a character at least he done it from the get-go.

Tim started to 'act' differently in the 2nd week if anyone hasn't noticed -- Remember how cocky & rude he was in the 1st week to people? He was totally different person back then - I wouldn't have described him as funny and bubbly person.

After the first 2 weeks he started to put on a character, acting all goofy and funny. He even started to laugh like Ben. In the nomination chamber he is starting to be so over the top with his humor and forced one-liners.

I hope it isn't just me seeing this.

It felt to me like his character was the same, still funny and bubbly back then too but just more rude and overbearing. I think he is keeping himelf in check and containing the beast within but I think it is still the real Tim. Just watered down.

I don't know what to think about Tim. He's very observant and smart. More so than anybody else on the show. He's very entertaining. I saw videos of him being a tv host or something and he still seems like himself back then. Like that's all just him. But I don't even know who "him" is really. I mean ... he seems kinda evil. In the begining of the series he didn't want to give the halfway people food so he could break them down. I can't even imagine doing that although it's brilliant. In a way I just love him and in another way I think he might be a psycho. I don't know.

Tim's been fairly consistent. Nothing with him has changed more than any one else in the house with the way you settle in and become more comfortable. Let your guard down ect.

i dont think anything has changed but he's made no secret of the fact that he will do what he deems necessary to give himself the best chance of winning so i suppose its possible

I think even though he wants to win he see's this like a social experiment.I mean how many chances do you get to go into a house and push peoples buttons to see how they will react

No, I do too. It makes me cringe sometimes. He seemed to have drop a little the little girly girl attitude, looking cutey, specially when talking to BB. Now he has that forced laughter which I can't stand. Same with Mikkayla, when the 2 of them were changing Ben's photos, she was laughing far too much, it was a little funny, but rolling about, too much

Now he has that forced laughter which I can't stand
I'm guessing he's going by the "if you can't join them beat them" motif.

He can't be an ally with Ben, so he'll try beating him as much as he can....by slightly impersonating him of course (that laugh he makes is totally Ben's). He even said that he wants to beat Ben as he is his big competition.

I think he's the only contestant that actually hasn't changed from day 1.

Tim's probably exaggerating some things...but he's totally quirky and crazy! He did a nude run on Rihanna's private plane or something?
So he's totally used to being crazy weird.

ben on the other hand is the biggest act ever.

It's a definite act, he used to present a tv show/ music show so he knows how to turn it on for the audience. Its obvious he only does certain stuff for the camera which is why im not 100% tim crazy.

Will admit he has had some funny bits.

There is no doubt Tim is playing an exaggerated version of himself in order to win (and that's not a bad thing at all!) - yes, initially he was cockier and more arrogant but it's only natural that would tone down as he got to know the others better. Unlike Ben who hasn't bothered getting to know the others.

I find it odd that some the housemates have commented that they've never met anyone like Tim before. I've crossed paths with versions of Tim on several occasions, his personality type is not that unique.

I'm sure Tim has his bad moments but we dont see them. like sitting around for 24 hours must be boring and ive seen him get really narky in the live feeds, but he's definitely putting a show on. which is sad. so is Ben. he has changed his tune since being resurrected and finding out about what others think like Ed on Tim.

I don't believe Tim is putting on a character. He is a character. What you see, is what you get. Tim entered the House of strangers, playing the game, and sought to keep the disadvantaged weak. The difference now is, he feels more comfortable in the House and knows the other HMs better, but he is still playing to win.

When I think about all of the footage we've seen of Tim in this series, I think he's been an exceptional all-rounder. I think he's done his research!

He came into the house and stamped his mark as the loud, obnoxious one.
He created controversy with his unwillingness to feed the halfway house.
He has forced us all to remember him by consistently changing his alliances.
He has made his nominations entertaining and absolutely honest.
He has never completely burned his bridges.
He is ALWAYS active, up early, giving us glimpses of his little quirks.
He is ALWAYS cleaning and cooking and now has a 'signature' dish with the chicken wings.
He is the ONLY HM who physically takes themselves away from the group to be still and THINK.... Which is why he probably likes to run on the treadmill without distraction...
He is smart and calculates his actions.
He is playing this game of human chess with skill and cunning...
He is potentially the winner... If only Ben would PO!!

Yeah Tim has not changed much. People just grew used to him. I found him a bit off putting at first but he grows on you.

No doubt he is media savvy, no wonder the amateurs are so intimidated by him.

I still don't understand people that think it is possible to craft a charatcer and then successfully carry out said character all day every day without a slip up along the way. You couldn't do it unless you had help from BB I don't think.

Tim is in the entertainment industry. He knows how to put on a show. Radio host tend o be creative, and know what people want. I can seriously see Tim in a role of a cult leader that gets his followers to eventually commit suicide when things start to fall apart. I think Tim is trying to play a psychological game with the public (he talks about how the public tend to vote his way). The public may claim that he is not playing with their heads. That they like him because he is entertaining, but it all goes back to the fact that Tim is a entertainer for a living, so he is certainly putting on a show. Now in the real world, he may not be far from his Big Brother character, but I'm sure this Big Brother version may just be an exaggeration of the real Tim. I have a feeling that though many find Tim enjoyable as viewers, as housemates, many would start getting sick, and tired of his antic, and his need to be the center of attention. For someone like Tim, failing to entertain would be a huge blow on his ego because that is his thing. That is his career.
