Runner-Up Travis "Melancholy" After Finale
Travis admits his second placing is "MASSIV" but will push winner Ryan to buy the rounds from now on.

On coming so close to the win!
Obviously it’s a melancholy feeling. I learnt that word in the House! I would never have used it in the past. I’m happy because I feel to come second and to go the final distance – MASSIV accomplishment. The only sad factor is the fact that I won’t be shouting beers tonight and Ryan will be!
On living with Housemates (instead of his parents)!
I always knew my Mum was always doing … a little bit around the house for me! Then jumping into a House of 16 people, I was just cruising the first week. Then you start hearing little whispers around the House … and you’re like I was happy TO do it. I had to get out of the mode of living with my parents!
On not being pegged as a favourite …
I always had confidence in myself that I’d do pretty well. I was happy to be flying under the radar. They (Housemates) were chucking out names like Jake, Lisa, Lawson. Yeah – they’re strong players, but I was like, what is strong in them and not in me? I always felt like a strong player.
On ‘baby Aish’ …
Is it love? I’d say ‘maybe’ at this point in time. Only because I’m a realist. We don’t know how we’re gonna be in the real world. For me personally but … I’ve never met the right girl. To find Aish out of 10 or so girls in one House was a surprising thing. I can honestly say after eight weeks, 16 hours a day with her – not one bit sick of her. I am really excited to see how we’re gonna prosper.
On what’s next …
I suppose now I’m just feeling like this experience has given me the opportunity to find out what my passions are and follow my dreams.

"I'm Relatable" Winner Ryan Puts Finger On His Popularity
Frozen chicken, black widow or winner of Big Brother 2014? Why not all three? Ryan may have taken some time (and some more time) to reveal all his wrong-humoured glory, but we loved what we saw! In an exclusive interview, Ryan spills about the ‘true Ryan’, his famous unimpressed face, and why you’ve gotta adapt to survive.
Link to Video (26.2 MB)
On why he won…
I think Australia might have chosen me to be the winner because I’m maybe relatable. I don’t know. My resting unimpressed face – maybe that’s relatable to people out there. I’m not sure. I really can’t put a finger on it. I think everyone in the House is completely unique and everyone was different.
On flying under the radar until: BOOM! that just happened…
I didn’t think I was flying under the radar at all … I think when the Hotel Task clicked, that was something where it put me into character. So it wasn’t myself. So that was probably the turning point for me.And you know, look, it does take me a while to warm up to people. So I think maybe once people maybe, you know, laughed at my jokes and saw a more humorous side of me, it gave me a little boost of confidence and I let my guard down a little bit. And I think week by week the guard came down a bit more and a bit more and the true Ryan came out.
On what to do when all your friends get booted…
It was actually probably a good thing. Well, not a good thing, but the people who were closest to me, when they were leaving it’d force me to adapt and readjust to who I was friends with in there … I think it actually worked to my advantage and it kinda pushed me to get out of my comfort zone.
On what he’s learned…
I think now – and the proof will be in the pudding for life outside of Big Brother – but I think I wanna be able to let my guard down to people a lot more easily.
On the heady feeling of winning Big Brother 2014…
I am feeling alive. Yeah I’m feeling … words can’t even be put into the emotions that I’m feeling right now. I’m happy. I’m a little bit sad that it’s over. Feeling a little anxious. Feeling a little overwhelmed. But I think above all I’m just excited.

Blonde bombshell Skye-Skye's Post-Finale Tell-All
The BB second runner-up talks coming back down to Earth, her self-sabotage, and boy troubles in the House.
Link to Video (21.9 MB)
On falling shy of the finish line…
I’m just proud to be third. Maybe I shouldn’t have been so arrogant about it. I was a little bit, wasn’t I? I may have been putting it out there just a little too much! That’s fine, that’s who I am: I’m either extreme, or not so extreme. It’s better to be extreme in my eyes.
On why she didn’t win…
I think the universe said, ‘Look Skye, you’ve made some bad choices in here that have potentially hurt other people in the game’. Ryan just deserved to win it: he’s amazing. He’s got the biggest heart, and he’s so genuine and so kind and so compassionate and so loving… I don’t think he did anything too dramatic to hurt other people’s feelings like I did.
On Jake and Lisa’s relationship…
I’m happy for them but it’s so awkward! I said hi to Jake but there’s nothing really left to talk about… I don’t know why they just didn’t hook up in the House to be honest if it was going to happen on the outside world. Poor girl; imagine if they get married and they have to watch that back! I wouldn’t deal. On a scale of one to can’t-even, I just can’t!
On coming back to reality…
It wasn’t scary at all; it was actually really exciting. My mum is so proud of me, and my sister… There’s so much that I need to catch up on and reconnect with them, and that will be cherished by me immensely.
On getting her love-heart-eyes on…
Oh my God, how embarrassing! I looked desperate. I’m not desperate! I just went cuckoo in there… I love attractive guys with big hearts.
On what she’d do differently...
I probably would go in there and be an independent woman the whole way through and not get involved in little romances or crushes or whatever, and try to focus on other things that made me happy, and connecting better with people.
On what the future’s got in store…
I’m just going to go wherever the wind takes me, and you know what, it’s going to be to awesome places. I believe in myself; I have so much more faith in myself now. I’m excited. Bring it on!

It was a great vid! Nice to see the HMs in this light, and with their natural humour coming through.
