The Amazing Race Australia: Celebrity Edition 2025 ft. Gretel

That was a shame, but probably a good time to bow out because looking at the preview for next week it's about to get a lot harder.
 
Oh, I'm crushed 😭. I'm so proud of Gretel and Epiphany 🥹. They did 12 legs. I'm sad that it's over, but it has been an absolute joy watching Gretel in this race. I love her so much. I'm so glad she will be hosting "The Traitors" next year, so this won't be the last we see her on prime-time TV.

I was laughing so much at the start with Gretel and Epiphany thinking it was a self-driving car and both hopping in the back and expecting the car to start. 😂

Another great moment was Gretel leading the way in the river towards the waterfall. She seemed like she was enjoying herself.

Oh, it's all over now 🥹. Still what fun it was having Gretel back on TV. ✌️

oh god yes, that was hilarious.
 
I think he did repeat “it’s time to go home, it’s time to go home” as he hugged them. But there wasn’t enough emphasis on the first part for it to have sounded deliberate. So maybe he was being subtle, otherwise just coincidence.
 
The editing on the show is just dreadful. In the episode when Gretal and Epiphany got evicted, they were showing you confessionals shot after they had already lost the leg, the whole way through the episode. So you could see that they were upset about something. On the other hand, when any team does well on a leg, they are energized to a million bucks in the confessionals, the whole way though the episode.

And they do that a lot on this show. And the whole episode starts with "teasers" of what's going to happen in the episode. It feels like the editor is doing a boring job rather than giving us vibe.

Also, has anyone noticed that like the last couple seasons, that it feels like the players somehow already have an idea if they are first, even if there was a detour.. No idea how.
 
I'd fallen a few episodes behind, but learning that Gretel and Ephiphany have been eliminated, I probably won't bother catching up 😥

None of the other teams really interest me enough to continue watching.

I accidentally clicked on this thread the day that episode aired and spoiled myself before I'd even downloaded it. Oops. Still seeing how it plays out though. Knowing my luck Aesha and Scott will win though.

She would probably say that was "amaaaaaaaaaaaaaazing" :) I love her too.
 
I've actually come around on Aesha, just as I had with Luke and Sassy, so it was a bit of a shame to see the latter bow out.

On thing that annoys me is the liberal use of the term wheelhouse, which I hadn't heard before until I watched this season. Obviously I understood the meaning by the way they used it, but I had to look it up and it's American English, which probably explains why I hadn't hard it before. Is it just me?

Yeah, they grew (Luke & Sassy) on me too. You can tell that they are really passionate about their charity.

Final episode tomorrow and I think Rob and Georgie may win? No complaints from me.

The wheelhouse thing… can’t say I even noticed anyone using the term at all. 😆
 
Did I jinx Rob and Georgie? Sorry. I never pick the winner. 😔

I’m pleased the Curry brothers won though (Yeah I have a weird soft spot for sexy Bernard Curry 😆). Honestly, it looked like they were going to finish last when they were having problems with that dance task and Stephen’s leg giving him grief. Hope he didn’t have a permanent injury. I enjoyed watching their brotherly bond throughout the race.

Rob and Georgie had an absolute shocker at the start, but then they managed to get ahead of everyone else, so I thought they were going to win. It was really anybody’s game. Bernard managed to have a good memory with the pit stop flags, and they kept in front in the final hurdle.

I really enjoyed this season, but of course, that was mainly to do with Gretel lasting the majority of the run. Just watching Gretel on TV again filled me with joy. She is such a crack up. Hopefully, they’ll get another good group of celebrities again if this gets renewed next year. Rob/Georgie and Stephen/Bernard were great imo.
