anyone else notice this on lastnights Eviction episode?

Pentagrams have had a "bum wrap"....NB it has been hijacked by Hollywood into being "satanic"

A pentagram (sometimes known as a pentalpha or pentangle or a star pentagon) is the shape of a five-pointed star drawn with five straight strokes.
Pentagrams were used as an important religious symbol by the Babylonians and by the Pythagoreans in ancient Greece. Pentagrams are used today as a symbol of faith by many Neopagans, akin to the use of the cross by Christians and the Star of David by Jews, and may be found in jewelry incorporating the symbol. Several faiths also associate the pentagram with magic. Christians in the past commonly used the pentagram to represent the five wounds of Jesus,[1][2] and it has associations with Freemasonry.[3]

being a 41(?) year old mum, id say she has no bloody idea what it means, and just thought it was "hip" :P

Yeah, I would guess it's more likely she doesn't know what it means, too.

Uh yeah, the pentagram is not something recently invented by young people, it's been around longer than anyone's been alive, no reason a 41 year old wouldn't know what it is. The most likely explanation is she just doesn't care.

That is laughable 41 and not know what that is? You do realize that symbol has been around forever and she is more likely to know what it represents than some 18 year old? You make it sound like she is ancient. lol

true, but it doesnt actually mean anything anymore...
these days it is just "hip" to wear it...

I'm a 41 year old mum and I know what a pentagram means/stands for.

'Young people' didn't create this symbol or the meaning behind it.

It looks like a nicely knitted top, I'd wear it too, and I'd love a copy of the pattern if anyone has it.
Something to do while I sit in my rocker and ponder my wasted youth!

Also, isn't this a TOOL tshirt? It's most likely she (or another housemate) is just a fan of the band?
