RIP Malcolm Fraser

I think over the past decade or two that he earned the admiration of the moderates and left far more than the right due to his compassion and tireless fight for the human rights of refugees. He ultimately proved to be an exemplary small-l liberal, rather than the hard-line, win at all costs capital-l Liberals of recent times. Vale Malcolm Fraser.tatesman
 
I am embarrassed to admit I only knew him as the PM who took over from Gough Whitlam, and it is unfortunate in death that I have realised his achievements, especially his sense of social justice . RIP Malcolm Fraser

And I am embarrassed to say that I have no idea what that 'tatesman' is doing at the end of my previous post. Perhaps I meant to write 'Statesman', which he certainly was.
