Exactly. One of the best things BBUK did in 2000 was switch to a weekly cycle and almost all versions that launched afterwards then followed suit.
 
Germany switched to weekly evictions for their 4th season and I thought it worked very well for them. It's just that in season 5, they went back to bi-weekly evictions. I guess that makes sense for a season that runs for a whole year, otherwise they might had to cast another 20 people or so. But in the last couple of seasons it became painfully obvious that bi-weekly evictions make the show move so slowly... I think that was especially true for last season when (for the initial rounds of nominations) half the house ended up for eviction anyways.
 
The season is done and with Leyla, we've got one of the worst winners in my eyes. She was already given an easy hand by having the "I'm in between my boyfriend and his former girlfriend and it's so tough for me" role but didn't do much besides that. And yesterday, they pushed Mike to propose to her during the live show.

But with the ratings they've got, they'll be happy with the result. And I wouldn't be surprised if they'll follow up the romance story and give Mike and Leyla their own "we're getting married" show. That's what at least the production company always does when they push certain people.

In other news: They've confirmed that Promi Big Brother will be back next year. But first: We'll get "Knossi Edition" (aka the influencer spin-off) this weekend and then the shortened regular season in spring.
 
Suspect any "getting married" show deal was signed alongside the original contract. So predictable.

This show has been announced today, produced by the Big Brother crew. Bild, the German answer to The Sun, will show 4 episodes plus a live wedding that is sold as a PPV.
