Prize money for 2nd and 3rd was a bit measily

I reckon at a minimum it should have been $25,000 and a car for runner up and maybe $10,000 or $15,000 for second runner up. I know if I lasted 101 days like Tahan I'd be pretty pissed at only $5,000. I get that it's better than nothing but surely the show could shell out more!

I remember when like every housemate used to win a decent amount (cars, holidays, phones etc); that's what I hate about Channel 9's Big Brother!

Yea who wants tv's these days. All those apple products are in season. Even though they may need to sort out advertising products/company stuff, tv is nothing these days.
 
We should have just put all money that we used to votes and gave it to them, would have been so much better.
Remember in the earlier days back on Ch10 when almost everyone got a car and a holiday and some cash and the winner got 1million.

I think last year the final 6 or something got a car. Where did the cars go this year? :(
 
Having vote to save there would be way more votes cast and more money for channel 9 than when it was vote to evict, so I would expect that there would be more money available for decent prizes for 2nd and 3rd place.

They should have a $1m first prize amount like they used to as $250k these days is not really that amazing, especially when you consider that the winner really has to work solidly for 3 months to get it.

I would have thought that between them ambi pur and KFC could have coughed up some decent prizes as well.
 
urgh that really sucks 5k and 10k is nothing for the amount of time they spent in the house
