Posting in an episode thread & getting spoilers

Hey team,

I was just wondering if it’s possible to turn off that feature that displays all the posts that you “might have missed” while you were posting feature?

i’m watching the show quite delayed and have only just watched half the episode . i then read through the forum until the same point. sometimes there are posts i would like to respond to, but doing so could potentially spoil things for me for that reason. so just wondering if it’s posible for me to change a setting somewhere so I don’t get sent to a gush of the most recent posts?

Cheers

Viewing the forum (or even social media for that matter) once an episode has aired is done so at your own risk.

Either wait until you’ve watched the episode in its entirety before browsing/posting, or just cover/close the window once you hit the Post Reply button.

Requesting a feature that either likely doesn’t exist or requires significant coding just because you don’t want to accidentally see a spoiler is a bit much.

Ta theorist. Oh no i’m definitely not asking for a new feature to be built in just for that pleasure ;)

It’s more a question of if this is an existing feature and for guidance.

Episode lengths of the show are insanely long and there’s only so much we can cope with right now. Staying away from social completely during the intervals will be very hard. If i do get spoiled, ce la vie. it’s the journey there that makes the show. We kinda already know who is likely to win anyways.

By the way I saw your comments on the the ep thread and wanted to reply to one of them, can’t remember what now ;) I think the way to approach the new show is with no filters at all. Or blind drunk filters will do ;) This last episode me and my partner have enjoyed much more than the first episode. Cringe moments but I think this year has got better character fits.

If you right click the reply button to the poster you want to reply to then select open link in new tab then you can reply to them without seeing the posts you may have missed thing.

living in Adelaide I have often ended up watching delayed to the east coast. What I have found works is actually starting to read the thread the same time as I am watching and then the comments often make sense as I am watching. without spoilers. I sometimes will respond to a comment, people generally understand it may be in a weird place in the thread.

I am still reeling from the news that BBB is and always was a spoiler site and I am unreasonable to not wish to be spoiled while watching a show I choose to watch spoiler free... O-kay!

I don't suppose there is a way to hide threads these days? It used to be if you had a poster on ignore any thread they'd started would not show up, which was both handy and also difficult if they were the one that had started the episode thread for the night, hahaha. But now I cannot remove the sight of some threads that I would rather ignore that are on the current Aus BB front page. Does anyone have any tips?

Just avoid clicking on them tbh.. At least there aren't spoilers in the subject line. Personally, I don't care to be spoiled with who the final 3 are simply because I'm not invested like I was before with the other channel versions, and it's a personal protest against Channel 7's decision to film it prerecorded.

I'm mostly waiting badly for a list of all the players' faces so who I can tell who's who.

Yeah. I have accidentally clicked on the odd one, though. The other forum I use quite a lot has a hide thread function. I was just hoping... Fucking prerecorded!

Here's my handy reference list:
