In sad news for democracy the Philippino government has shut down ABS-CBN, the countries largest television network. The channels 25 year franchise ended a few weeks ago and they were shut down the next day. Eventually they were given the opportunity to bid again, but ultimately the government wanted to shut them down due to "biased" reporting, even though 12 hearings found they broke no laws.
