Given that we have a particular former member who continues to create new accounts to troll the forum might I suggest putting all new registrations on some sort of approval system? An IP ban is pretty much useless... New registrations will drop off significantly after the end of the current series the amount of work it would take to approve new members would be equal to or less work than having to clean-up the mess this person creates every few days.

I guess at this stage anyone who would sign up this season probably would have by now. So temporily, I guess it should be fine to do. Besides some dumb comments towards me, I haven't really noticed and so don't understand how big an issue this is.

I am sure the mods are as sick of cleaning up his crap as we are of seeing it so if there is an option they will look at it. He has chased people away from this forum, abused people, and made people feel uncomfortable for years.

Yup the banning was long overdue. Only one member I can think of that wasn’t happy to see the back of him and she seems to quietly disappeared.

Yeah, Nah.
They converse outside of the forums via email, so they should stick to that method of communication.

Pretty easy to guess who the one person who said no to that survey question was....

I just wonder what other platforms he has been blocked on that makes him keep coming back here when nobody wants to engage with him.

I was going to post that! 😂
You honestly didn’t miss much. A handful of unhinged posts that he thought would get a reaction but as soon as he realized it wasn’t working he shut down.

If nothing is done to keep him from continuing to register the best thing we can do to discourage it is not to engage and to encourage others to do the same. Even if it’s an on topic or respectful post.

I had sat here last night way past my bedtime waiting to call out members who were engaging with him. Luckily the few warning posts I made were effective.

No matter how fun it might be to confront him directly about his unhinged behaviour it’s just encouraging him to continue.

Obviously there is something wrong with some one like this person and his side kick, with the name beginning with A.
I got along with both of them in my early days here, and then wham, out of nowhere I got abuse. But thankfully, I've seen it on earlier forums and learnt not to feed them. If no one replies or comments, they've no ammunition.
It just makes me appreciate more the great people we have here.

I know I didn’t have to quote you, but your quote has a reaction from a username with my username in theirs. I’m guessing it has something to do with me?

I genuinely did not know what was going on or realise how members were being attacked. I do not condone this at all and I’m sorry that any engagement I gave this person led to further attacks on others as well.

The one beginning with A is long gone. He hasn’t been around for ages which is a relief because the attacks were getting too much.

I promise I won’t react next time the other one pops up. I think it’s good advice that we just completely ignore him and don’t engage.

When I was reading your replies, I was thinking, no, rj90, stop!
