Somebody should have asked him WHY he was asking this question... Did he think it's fun...? Did he try to be entertaining? To make people feel uncomfortable? To give them a reason to nominate him? To give an example of an ethical dilemma (aren't there better examples?)? Did he think it might gain him votes? Or to give another reason to discuss his social skills?...

My guess is he did it to her uncomfortable and to see her reaction. He doesn't really seem to care about how people react to his inappropriate conversations. Or maybe he does, maybe that's how he gets his jollies. It was a stupid thing to ask that served no valid purpose. This guy seems to have few social skills and has no clue how to read people.

I don't think Aisha's reaction was strange, keep in mind that their emotions are heightened in that place and no-one likes that kind of question.
On the outside you'd probably just say 'thats just cruel, I'm not answering that!' But Aisha is probably missing her parents (and did she leave them behind in NZ?)
I think Lawson and Aisha wanted to nominate David & Sandra because they are one of the lower pairs in the pecking order, and can understand having to come up with something to nominate them for, even if their reasons were a bit weak...
I guess since Aisha now lives in Sydney (and lived overseas with her BF) she probably misses seeing her parent/family, if they all live in NZ.
As a magician it would be annoying if people tried to figure out your tricks. I'm sure we've all tried to figure out how a magic trick/card game was done and wanted to check that pack of cards etc

I wonder if David is aware she cried about his question asked during a 'would you rather' game? BB probably didnt think it was big deal, so didn't show us until noms when Aisha brought it up

David's a conundrum to me. I don't think he is necessary cruel or callous, although he has behaved in this way. I think his intent is okay but he really isn't social savvy or down with interpersonal effectiveness.

I think he likes women but may be intimidated by them and his mouth runs with insensitive, confrontational remarks because of this awkwardness.

He's the primary reason he and Sandra are up for eviction and with Sandra being my fav HM I'm worried for her. He's an easy target and strategic HM's may evict Sandra first over him as she is the stronger of the two.

One thing, IMO, that I am certain of... is that beard needs to go! Gross! But more because I'm curious of what's under it. Does it hide a perceived flaw? Is he more attractive without it? If he survives eviction and ends up HOH, I so hope BB has some dollars ready for a shave challenge.
Here's what he looks like under the beard

He was also nominated for trying to discover how Lawson did his magic tricks. It showed David trying to look under Lawson's shirt and getting into his personal space, which must have been annoying to Lawson.
David loves magic and does the odd bit himself so was prob interested to know how it was done.

I don't know if Lawson was really pissed off at David, but I did feel it was a valid reason to nominate the bearded one.

Who is your favorite housemate besides David?

I actually like priya (although she should really stop looking at herself in the mirror every 5seconds!)
Sure she is annoying but she is playing a strategic game just like David and they are both being themselves. I think priya is the only girl not to cry (ok she was sick in the toilet over the money but that just shows the impact the game and decisions are having on her).
she would annoy the crap out of me outside the house but I think she is being true to herself and I really think at this stage of the game David and priya are the only 2 real housemates in there. All the others are there to get some form of fame from it whereas that's not David's agenda and I don't think it's priyas either.

Hey @MelKen... Thanks heaps for the photo. :)

As I suspected, all's good under that beard and he's a much better looking dude, IMO. Not crushing on the guy, I'm lesbian and happily partnered, but I can appreciate attractiveness wherever I find it. Well aren't I sounding shallow and all missy.

Clearly then, it's just his personal preference and he believes it doesn't impact, or he doesn't even care whether it attracts or repels women. I appreciate individuals, so kudos to him on this front He articulates clearly how he loves his overtly hirsute chin. What do people close to him think? I'm assuming that you're one of his sisters and he's the doting uncle in the photo.

At the end of last nights show, I was interested to see a warming and genuine incremental closeness developing between David and Sandra. Like it happens in RL, when increasing experience and conflict resolution brings people closer. Very authentic and organic I thought.

We even saw some exposure therapy where over the course of 3-4 hours standing pressed together and arms wrapped around each other, that Sandra's repulsion of David's beard lessened. In the end she could let him kiss her and touch it at bedtime.

I'm hoping that he doesn't get evicted this week, and definitely not Sandra. I'm wondering if there are any strategic plans for David to reveal a naked chin at any point? Is he the kind of guy who would think that removing it may up his chances with a woman he's particularly keen on if it was a real issue for her?

I think he's developing real affection for Sandra and she looks like it may be mutual for her too. What do you think knowing him so well?

Is that seriously David without his beard? Now he is one good looking guy! But sadly his personality takes him from hot....to not. It's a stupid question to ask full stop. Majority of the population adore and love their parents. I personally would have told him he was an idiot and that it was a stupid thing to say.
