I
submitted this feedback to 10, feel free to do the same if you're frustrated.
This feedback relates to the Big Brother live feed on 10 Play.
I understand that certain conversations or circumstances may need to be muted or cut away from for legal or operational reasons, and I appreciate that this can sometimes be unavoidable. With that said, the level of interruption over the past 48 hours has been excessive to the point of making the feed borderline unwatchable. Diligent viewers have noted (and documented) how many of the cutaways appear to be based on editorial discretion rather than any genuine necessity, and this has significantly affected the viewing experience.
Although 10 Play is a free-to-access platform, the live feed is not a “free” service in practice. Viewers are required to watch advertisements at 15 minute intervals in exchange for access, creating an ad-funded service arrangement. In this context, I believe it is reasonable for viewers to expect that the service be delivered with consistency and in good faith. At present, I am concerned that the level of disruption may not meet the standard of due care and skill that viewers are entitled to expect under Australian Consumer Law.
While this season has only one week remaining, I would appreciate an internal review of the live-feed moderation and clarification on how these concerns will be addressed, both for the remainder of this season and in consideration of the time and commitment of viewers like myself.
