How do they build so fast?

How do they build so fast? Like When the honeymoon sweet (however you spell it) was there, and then the next day it was a different room ._. And how will/would they pull out the halfway house? Its blue and stuffs and they gotta take the poles and such out... so what then... Do they do it in the night? are all the rooms soundproof? how do they do it all so fast. Even like the YES/NO thing or the Ice Cream thing...:confused::confused:

The whole house, I would think, is a film set. Would think some walls potentially move so as to insert/change pre-built props. This is just conjecture of course, but would it be cool if they would actually show a video of BB staff pulling off one of those quick changes? Love the question BTW! :D Behind the scenes stuff is fascinating like a great magic show! I would love to know their tricks as well cause they pull it off in a electrifying fashion!

i remember when they showed how they took out the walls in the season 3 it was amazing..they have a whole crew to do the changes. Now the thing is will they really remove it all. I am betting the caged area in the main living room stays as a punishment area like last year.

It's a set - things could probably be changed in minutes if they needed to be, but most things can be done in a couple of hours or overnight. I suspect the Halfway House bars will be removed during nominations on Tuesday while the housemates are in the noms room. The bedroom will have been locked since the eviction so can easily be changed overnight, and I think most the doors can be easily replaced.

nah itll take longer than that to get the HWH outta there, and the blue will be going and a "new" bedroom with proper beds will be coming in.
if you look closely at the HWH lounge, the floor is raised and the ceiling is dropped to accommodate the bars so those will be going as well, the extra diary room will be taken out and the room will open up to the extension (why theres been no camera angles from the far side of the HWH bedroom id say) itll look like a lot of works been done but not really (theyre clever like that) for example look at the HWH lounge, see all the blue and corrugated iron walls, looks like panels connected by the wood? exactly what it is, it'll just get taken off the top of the already painted (presumably creme coloured) finished wall, and done, looks like a brand new wall, when its just been covered up the whole time.

similar with the honeymoon suite/latecomer bedroom, they basically just use easy hang wallpaper and different furniture arrangements to transform the rooms and make them look completely different

Honeymoon suite to the latecomers bedroom

Like last years parlour to man cave.

It's printed wallpaper, sticks on within minutes.

Beds move and presto. Whole thing takes a few hours.

Halfway house, you will have to see what happens with the inside bars and bedroom if anything.

It's still just a set though - they'll be virtually no construction to speak of and everything there has been designed to be changed while the HMs are still in the house. I doubt they'll drop the floor level - they'll just use that area as a raised seating area (and probably stage for some cringeworthy performance task). Switching out the beds won't take too long either, while most the small doors seem to be doors within bigger doors.

Considering 9's obsession with The Block wouldn't be a bad task for the producers just to handle the main changes then set the HMs the challenge of converting the Half Way Bedroom into something more luxurious.

All, if not most, of the doors can be locked. During season 3 the housemates were locked in the bedrooms overnight and were trying to guess what power tools they could hear.

I did a tour of the house years ago, possibly the year Jamie won, and the paint job in the house is seriously dodge. If painters did the same sort of job in your own home you'd have them back to fix it. Everything is a lick and a spit.

Its not the renovation programs where they have to cut thru concrete or raise a housse. Its more like home decoration with quick wall changes.

I'm sure Dreamworld would be the first and closest place to provide specialist skills like carpenters, etc.

I to think the the cage area will be a punishment area
maybe the half way house rooms will remain closed off and there could be a wall in the bed room that is removable to allow more spare and beds
Guess we will see
like other said it a film studio so there would not be much the is securely fixed in place

will be like in season 3

the housemates will be locked in a room or rooms overnight, while the indoor living room is merged, and the backyard is merged,
then big brother will lock them outside for the rest of the day while the inside is taken care off.

in season 3, they were locked in the bedrooms pretty much as soon as Carlo was kicked out.
they had movies and food. plus a loo, so the didnt have to leave the bedroom.
till morning, in which the living rooms were merged and outside walls down

i think it will be a matter of just removing/extending out some walls.
very quick and easy
