HM's being two-faced?

Longbow

Self Destructoid
I've noticed in a few of these post eviction videos that the HM's do, a few of them have said things that have made me think "well, why are you saying that now?" and "why didn't you say it to their face in the house if it's that much of an issue to talk about it in your post eviction video?"

From memory (a bad one at that), i remember Lisa, Jake and now Jason saying things that have made them seem gutless to me. Let's just drop the content of what they've said to the side for a moment as there are plenty of threads already about that but what the hell is with all this "I'll tell you all what i really think... when I'm gone..." huh? what? jeez.

Some people naturally find it hard saying something to peoples faces even if they feel something should be said. I guess these people feel more comfortable saying it to a camera. That's part of someones personality, or human nature.

I feel that people often focus on people being two-faced to deflect what a person may have just said, for instance Cat fully focused on how Jason lied to her and was two-faced instead of accepting what Jason was saying to her.

You probably go through it during your day to day life.

Thinking, jeez I really wish I could tell this guy such and such.... but shit.... I'm gonna have to talk to him about it, it's gonna turn into this big thing, I have to see him next week.... if I only I could say it with no repercussions onto myself.

It's not particularly honorable, but it's not that uncommon either.

Hmmm, maybe i should edit the title or something to fake? phony? Two-faced was just the first thing that came to mind.
Nah, still the same sentiment. Two-faced=expressing a completely different opinion to someone's face than behind their back. Holding back= not saying anything. It's fine to have an opinion, but it's not always necessary or helpful to make it heard. There are plenty of people/things that give me the shits, or that I have a negative opinion about, but no-one would ever know, because they don't HAVE to. Not every thought that crosses your mind has to pass your lips.

If Jason said what he truly thought of them instead of "It's not a problem", he'd probably be still in there now. I'm not asking HM's to be nasty to each other, just say what you truly think if it's such an issue for you. If it's only a little minor thing i can understand people not wanting to waste anymore breath on it. One of the things i dislike about a HM is when they claim to be "upfront" and "real" but proves that they're not, I'm not saying that Jason or anyone has made this claim, just a thing i hate that some HM's tend to do.

Well, technically, the two-faced title stands for Jason at least.

No doubt, but maybe he would prefer to be comfortable and nice, rather than taking a gamble to create some conflict just to ensure a few more weeks in the house?

And I'm not sure how you would bring it up without being nasty. It doesn't involve you whatsoever, if you feel uncomfortable about it, well that's your problem, not Cat or Lawson, and the only reason you bring it up, is to let them know "hey, you two are fucking up".

I dislike that too, but the reason I dismiss Jason of it, was because he never presented himself as that person.

Personally, I'd totally say something. I'm watching the Thursday's episode now, and the whole time I was super jealous I wasn't in the BB house. Because if I was, so easy to create some juicy conflict (note, this is how you create entertaining conflict Gemma), be on the moral high horse, earn some brownie points with the public, and then possibly later, be divided from the house and Australia always loves the underdog.

I'd probably seal my fate as the winner there and then.

I really agree with you. I agree it's really no ones business in there and on the outside i wouldn't give a shit (i don't give a shit now), yet on the inside it might be a good thing to make it your business even if it's for the reasoning of not wanting a power couple in there.

In terms of Jason being too"nice" and not wanting to take a gamble, well you don't win it if your not in it.

It's clear though some HM's do regard it their business and it's an issue that is important to them somehow (see Aisha), if Aisha wanted to legitimately win, she would confront them both at the same time, not talk behind their backs with other HM's about them looking for constant affirmation.

Slightly digressing, but one thing I hate not just about hms but people in general is when people use being "upfront" and "real" as justification to be rude and nasty, or an excuse to have no filter. I recall over the years people like Benjamin, Emma, Saxon 08, Nobbi and most of the '05 boys making DISGUSTING comments about others...all of what they said was 100% true, but just did not need to be said. Personally, I have an auntie I don't speak to for this reason - among other things, she went around to all of our friends at my Dad's fucking WAKE of all places, telling everyone how out of 40+ Nieces & nephews, my brother is her favourite and she just doesn't like me :S

A few evictees have left a negative message to others in their farewell message
Katie to Skye, Jake to Leo, and Jason to Clawson

I think a lot of past examples of being two faced are just housemates being dishonest.

I wish more of them can be that way in terms of strategy. Like, be dishonest all you want to the housemates, but own it and be confident about it to the audience, Big Brother and the cameras, so we know there's a point to you being inconsistent.

That's basically what this year's BBUK was. A group of HM's constantly saying "I'm upfront", "I tell it like it is", "I call a spade a spade", "I'm just being real" even though they rarely made valid points and were just tearing shreds off each other, commonly through low blow comments too. It was uncomfortable at times.

Yes! I agree, own your lie by telling the audience in the diary room your plans. That's what Tim did all the time, he made the effort to talk in there at least once a day i think.

Everyones two faced, if you told people what you think of them all the time you will have no friends and everyone will hate you

...That's why you should only make friends with people you like and only keep friends that you like (given that they like you as well.)

It's like, I'd never date someone I think is ugly. It just defeats any purpose.

Exactly, i also think alot of people on this forum talk big but if they were put in the house they wouldn't say anything. Just going by the pre entry promo packages with everyone saying they tell it how it is and when push comes to shove they keep their mouth shut.

The way the negative comments have been worded I get the feeling that evicted housemates are given a list of points they have to discuss in their video, with one of those points being "which housemate do you think is causing the most disharmony".

I also get the impression that we don't see the full video.
