I went on the Pacific Sun, we left a few days after you got back... on the second day we already started planning to go on another one with a bigger group in Nov 2006. :D lol

Hey VB! Great to see you!

I was on the Pacific Sky that leaves from Brisbane. Pacific Sun from Sydney.

Oh yeah, if you want some different to do on New Years, then start planning now.... you can get a really good deal if you book now! You then don't have to pay for it until late Sept....

I want to go to Fiji islands next. Port Vila the best for duty free shopping.... I got 2 litre bottle of Bundy for $20, 1175 ml of Jim Beam for $13, and a 1 litre bottle of Gin for $15. And didn't pay any extra tax through customs when i got back.... :p

They spoil you rotten on the boat, oh an make sure you are 5 kilos lighter cause you put it on that's for sure!

thats not the one im going on. 13 nights $2200

I was thinking either NY 2006 or early 2006 as well! Just have to get a travel crew together...

We stayed on Baja deck with cabin window...

The cruise we're going on goes to 3 fijian ports and vila which im very excited about and 2 new caledonian ports which im not as excited about but sure i will enjoy anyway. The travel agentt told us just bring as much grog and smokes in as we want. 9 times out of 10 you'll get thru no worries. If you dont you have to pay $90 which is prob still cheaper.

I'll post some pics they took. that alone made me want to go, then the video and the stories. Now i refuse to let them go without me!

Hi Everyone,

I highly recommend cruising, I worked onboard Pacific Sky and it is a great atmosphere for both passengers and crew alike.

Sure was a lot of fun, especially the night before docking in a port because whilst we are in port we dont have to work which means we dont need to be awake or well enough to get up in the morning! You meet lots of people from a range of cultures and of course you get to travel and see places you would never have seen - and you get paid for all of this!!!

I've always wanted to work on a cruise ship, but i think id miss my family too much :(

i'd love to work on a cruise ship! A friend of mine is doing a remedial massage course and every year some guy that works on a cruise ship picks the top students and offers them a 12 month contract with him on the ship. I'm tempted to do it cause i'd love to do a massage course and the fact that i migth be able to then work on a cruise ship, yes please!

Working on cruise ship is definately not for those who will miss their loved ones as you are out at sea for long periods of time with NO communication methods.
I have heard that P&O are no longer employing Australians - sorry to those of you who were hoping to jump on board!
