First evictee scapegoats

Is it just me...or is it really tiresome that every single year, the very first evictee is blindingly obvious from day dot? It's almost as though they deliberately pick someone who they know won't fit in and won't be popular. The only person in 11 seasons who bucked this trend was Damian in season 2...I reckon the one the producers had pre-picked as first evictee was Katrina, who left early anyway.
