Estelle films in control room (with Leon, Big Brother)

It's always weird to see the Big Brother voice coming from a person rather than just out of nowhere. But I think that's the first time I've seen Leon do the voice in a video where there was no processing of the voice, and they obviously apply less filters etc to his voice than I thought they did...

Yeah - it's cool to actually see him do it and how he doesn't need filters.

I think it's mainly just about talking really close up to the mic and softly. You'd be surprised by the way it changes your voice
 
i think the primary difference is the mic.
tiny camera mic vs large diaphragm condenser mic w/ authoritative eq.
 
Oh weird...I thought Big Brother's voice is altered (through editing and mixing).

He changes his voice to sound that way! My son became obsessed with his voice last year when I let him watch a few of the live feed updates so we had to go watch/listen to all of his voiceover stuff. He does a heap of different voices, and so well too!

The retail one I *think* is the closest to his real voice. You can still kind of hear the BB voice if you know him from the show when he does the stuff catered to an older audience or more serious ads but he sounds quite different in the other ones.

i challenge any person to provide a more delicious voice than mine in person or on phone or on loudspeaker
 
Remember last year when even Mr. Clooney listened to him? I think it was when he told Mr. Clooney to stop chewing the pillows.
His voice just has authority in it. I love it and we definitely miss this aspect of big brother in the U.S. show.
