Ed - fake or genuine?

Well eye-candy Ed is making sure he doesn't upset anybody.

But he was talking to one of the girls about his like, which was all footy trips & sports. He IS boring.

I get the feeling that he see sees everyone in the house as outside his social circle, he is a pro footballer & has nothing in common with anyone. He makes polite conversation with his fans err other Hms but will never open up or see anybody after the show is over.

Win or lose, he's already won, because he's going to get the media career of his choice when he gets out of the house. I can see him on TV doing sports reporting or on panel shows. He has the squeaky clean appeal of that vet guy with the big chin on channel 10.

He's already done a bit of work as a boundary rider for the ABC at VFL games. I wouldn't be surprised if he moved to Fox Footy doing the same for the AFL.

I think Ed's a nice guy, but yeah, he's very aware that he's on TV.

This is a total generalization and you can prove me wrong but I think Ed is your typical white picket fence, given everything in life guy. Guys who are just nice and boring and calm don't have anything to worry about.

Then you see someone like Tully and you can tell she's been through some personal shit but she's criticized for it.

We know Matthews been to war and witnessed a comrade die but he doesn't come across like a guy from the army at all. more like a surfer. if you want to talk about fake.

Matthew being to war doesn't mean he needs to come across any specific way. He's already said he likes to take charge and be a little bossy - probably a result of being in the army. But the rest? I don't think men in the army have one personality type. Matt's probably been through a lot and likes to hide it or forget about it. I can see him being really troubled but doing his best to forget it.
