Colin reminds me of Harry Garside (Australian Boxer) and former contestant in "I'm a celebrity get me out of here" with his looks.
He looks like a certain YouTuber I know. I doubt anyone on here knows him though as he is not that famous.

It's not Leon. It's Pete Cunningham who was a deputy bb in previous series.
As to why Leon was brought back for some of the promos but not the actual show, dont really know.

I watched the launch again - much better on the second watch. There are small tweaks which would make it a bit more BB like having more of the theme playing while Mel’s on stage, and less royalty free music cluttering the show in general - let there be background noise!!
One thing that stuck out to me is Mel has really made this her show. It never truly felt like BB was Sonia’s show, I’m so happy to see the host take ownership over the format - it’s what it needs.
I really like the housemates after the initial shock has worn off, I’d like some more diversity in the line up but this cast has some promise to it.
The edit was really messy at times, but I liked how the launch didn’t have too many twists and turns, compared to the BBUK20 launch where there was a twist every 5 minutes. It felt like it was allowing the audience to digest the return to form.
I’m looking forward to tonight, but the real test will be the first non-live show tomorrow night to see what an actual daily show looks like.

Mel’s wit and natural interaction with the HMs was very evident to me on my re-watch too. She clearly researched and had a thoughtful enough question prepared to ask each person. In time she’ll be even better.
I dont understand why people would be upset about Leon. He had 4 seasons more then a fair crack. Good on us and good on the producers for putting the fans first

Yeah, I was relieved. I'd only seen one brief segment of hers on The Cheap Seats, after it was announced she'd be the new host, and she seemed like an endlessly chortling gaseous airhead in that. She handled last night with aplomb and wasn't afraid to gentle skewer a few of them. Loved that apple green dress against the purples and magentas of the backdrop, also.
Mel did great, it can't be easy going from Radio, cheapseats and whatever else she's done to hosting a live show which is messed up by bad weather leading to a lot of changes.
I couldn't care less about Leon, but I don't care for this BB voice either. Zero authority, sounds like he's going to ask Eddie to pass him the poppers.
Mel was great. Her line delivery was a bit slow to start, but she found her rhythm with it towards the end and no doubt she'll find her feet as she settles into the role. I like her energy a lot.

First time I had seen Mel, thought she did great.
There's way too much snarkiness and bitchiness here, about such tiny and insignificant things. Also finding the nicknames some of you are giving housemates are so deplorable and disrespectful. Use the housemates actual names and show some respect.
Personally I think it's a great group of people this year, and it feels REAL again, unlike the ch7 rubbish that was survivor in a house.

This. I didn’t mind him or Pete originally when they weren’t emphasising their voices so hard. It’s the over the top delivery that breaks it.
