CSI: Cyber

DigitalCorp

Always Watching
I don't know if it's on Ten yet, but I am really enjoying CSI: Cyber. Not only is it exciting and fun, but it teaches you so much about how to keep from getting hacked.

I've watched the first couple of episodes. I've kinda enjoyed them.

I have been long disinterested in the CSI and alike franchises, but this one brings aspects that I enjoy.

I'm not sure if you should be taking too many cyber safety hints though, I wouldn't be willing to vouch for its accuracy. The episode where they essentially 'spammed' the pornbot to make her digital image fall apart wasn't very realistic. Haha.

I think it's pretty well cast and for the time being will continue to watch :)

The episode where someone hacks a standard bedside digital alarmclock and also hacks a coffee machine and tells it to start pissing out coffee everywhere is not realistic. At all. Nor is the episode where they pull a tablet "harddrive" out of a person that looks like a miniature version of a computer harddrive.

Not to mention the very first episode where someone who has kidnapped a baby and has had hours to escape is easily found by the lead actor looking at a map and somehow realising that they were at a random store buying supplies in the middle of the woods. And that they were still there shopping by the time they got there hours later.

You're more likely to get helpful technology tips from The Block than you are from CSI: Cyber.

Haha! yes.

I can't take the title of this show seriously.

Every time I hear/read it I flashback to a 90s era IRC where some perv is asking me if I want to cyber.

Why do you need a tv show to teach you how to keep yourself from getting hacked?
