Fireman who cries over a man? Good luck at work!. I suspect he will need to adjust to the new way he will be treated at work.
 
Why are you attacking me? I said he will struggle in his work environment. I don't work with him.

So you are quick to defend the rights of caleb but are happy to abuse a person you don't know and call them a homophobe? Hypocritical much?
 
Look I'll admit I'm a cynical bastard and had an eye roll but maybe Caleb and Matt did genuinely connect in the house. As for how his work will react who knows, he probably won't even go back to it.
 
I really don't believe it at first, but now I do think that Caleb genuinely value his friendship with Matt that much. The guy wears his heart on his sleeves. Where else for Matt, although I do believe that he also truly value Caleb friendship, I don't think he would show such kind of emotion.

It's actually more sexist than anything. It's like he's implying that Caleb, a firefighter, is crying over a a man - he negated that.....So he can cry over a woman, and only women? Hm...

I dont think the OP made a judgement on Caleb!
They were merely pointing out a sad fact: A manly man who cries on TV over another man will get made fun of by certain people. We might not like that, but it will happen.
I think it is great that a man can show emotion and i found last nights Caleb cry very touching and made me feel emotional for him. But i am certain his work mate will make fun of him

Crying = Stress release.

Under stress -> Some people get teary. Some people punch things. Some people laugh/smirk/giggle at inappropriate times.
 
A person can be emotionally sensitive and still be fully equipped to perform a dangerous, potentially traumatic job. I see it as a sign of confidence that Caleb's okay with openly showing his emotions. The kind of of men who ridicule other guys about showing emotion usually have issues relating to their own identity and perception of masculinity.
 
I felt for the poor bloke! He looked like someone just gave away his brand new puppy after a week!
 
We pick on Tully for crying too much, Caleb cries too much, he's all soggy:)
It's fine to cry.
But some people need to get a grip - or your just seen as childish.
 
I reckon Caleb's public display of emotion was genuine despite the fact I don't think much of the guy. Crying is a good thing if done in the right situation, otherwise it becomes annoying.
 
Calebs cry was far more tolerable than Tullys wailing when he was leaving, you could't even hear him saying goodbye to the other housemates.

He's not getting picked on for being an overly sensitive male. He's getting picked on for being overly sensitive.

Let's face it, he was in there for a few weeks, and made a good friend. The blubbering and carrying on was out of proportion.

He probably cries at long-distance ads asking "Have you called your mother?".

I didn't find anything offensive with Caleb's display of emotions at all, certainly don't think it says anything about his masculinity.
