It’ll be the same as the 2005 runtime, as will 2007. All split in eight parts over two weekends. 2006 also has less episodes than 2005 did. (2008 could be shorter though, maybe even fit into one weekend if they exclude Big Mouth.)Couldn't find a social media post on FB or X, but the marathon stream has been posted for BB06. (Assuming two weekends like BB05, since it's also 100 days)
It will be interesting how they handle the controversies in this weekend’s marathon, and whether they’ll stream every episode unedited, including the John/Ashley interview. I hope they leave everything as is.
They might enable it closer to the marathon, to avoid certain people talking to themselves for the next 24 hours. Either way, won’t be too much of a loss if they decide to axe it completely.
But I doubt they’ll stop it. It provides a great deal of engagement for them. And it’s a positive way for them to engage with viewers in real-time in return.

Not sure if this is an unpopular I actually love this season! So much more than 2005. Part of this is definitely from life circumstances and living out of home and watching it with friends but I always enjoy it on a rewatch much more than 04 and 05.
I am looking forward to this.

I did the math the other week (have no life) and going by https://thetvdb.com/series/big-brother-au/It’ll be the same as the 2005 runtime, as will 2007. Season 5 is 86.8 hours
Season 6 is 98.76 hours (can do a weekly break down if anyone is keen)
Season 7 is 97.11 hours
Season 8 is 84.76 hours (with Big Mouth) or 76.21 hours (Without)
So S6 and S7 are the longest and might be 9 - 10-hour parts or 8 - 12.5-hour parts.
Jesus! Even that has surprised me. The last I checked* I'm 98% sure the 2006 episode count is lower than 2005 (even when you account for Uplate), because they also lost a few hours of programming with the axing of Adult's Only. Where did the extra 10-12 hours come from?I did the math the other week (have no life) and going by https://thetvdb.com/series/big-brother-au/

I was surprised also but there are many daily shows that run over 40+ minutes (almost 1 a week) and FNL was 90 or 100 minutes in 2006 instead of 60 or 70 minutes in 2005.Jesus! Can't remember what it was but pretty certain it wasn't a "world first". Aussie TV still obsessed with promoting things as a "world first" and 9 times out of 10 they aren't - and when it is it often soon becomes quite obvious why nobody has done it.![]()
GAME ON MOLLS
remember the pre season ads as well, the BB06 Birds and Bees and of course... A WORLD FIRST lol
