“You are an entrepreneur of sorts,” Estelle grinned, and Layla looked lost.
“I am a well-oiled snake,” Michael connived, “slipping through the grass.”
“You are a well-oiled snake but I hope you are not a sinister snake,” Estelle coo-ed.
“Snakes can bite,” Michael flirted, “Sometimes they’re venomous, sometimes they’re not. Maybe I’ve been de-venomed?”
“That means your intentions are still venomous,” Estelle retorted.
So Michael’s morphed? Trading a position at the top of the food chain to a reptilian ground-dweller who can twist their means to the end … Well, if that’s the case, then let’s hope Estelle can gallop quickly! Or perhaps Michael will be the one to fall head-over-heels? The genius’ best-laid plans gazumped by something far more powerful than any strategy: love.
