many of the housemates seem like they could rip the head off a chook if they got close to one. Apart from being terribly bored in the house, i get a feeling they are missing their daily does of nicotine.

This has been discussed somewhere before. I think the conclusion was that none were current smokers, and Heidi was a former smoker.

No Tully is pretty anti-smoking (with regards to herself anyway).
 
No idea. It's weird how they aren't allowed to smoke in the house. They could at least assign a section of the outdoor area for people to smoke in.

I *think* it's to do with not being able to broadcast smoking etc on TV in Australia. That being the case, it'd drastically cut down the amount of footage they could use if smoking/smoke clouds could be seen...unless of course they completely physically quarantined them a la the halfway house.
 
I wouldn't be surprise if Ben, Heidi and Ed do cos they look about 10 years older than they really are.

Where did he put this patch? Didn't he have a bandaid on his ear a few weeks ago? I'd think by now the HM's would be over their withdrawls?
There was a rumour that Nathan is a smoker, and that's why he had left the house because he was suffering from nicotine withdrawls LOL maybe he is smoker though
 
Anyone watch Survivor Shane Powers withdrawal and craziness was the most classic case of nicotine craving I have seen on reality TV

it wasnt the attitude. to me he seemed a step behind in most conversations and activities as well as being very unsure of himself.
i've met a few stoners who exhibit these traits.

I was surprised with his behaviour in the house as he seemed pretty switched on and energetic in his intros. Who knows..something was definitely odd about him.

A softie like Ben would never smoke lol. And hard seeing a fitness freak like Ed smoke regularly, maybe the odd cigar every now and then.
